To
truly live we must die to self.
There
is no substitute for this, nothing else will do.
Faith
is, dying to ones self.
In the
Hymn, The Wonderful Cross, it says this:
O the
Wonderful Cross, O the Wonderful Cross
Bids
me come and Die and find that I may Truly Live.
And
this Dying can only be done by the Power of the Spirit of God
Living
IN and Through us.
This
is what the apostle Paul meant when when he said:
'I
have been Crucified with Christ and I no longer live,
But
Christ lives in me.
The
Life I live in the body, I live by Faith in the Son of God,
Who
loved me and gave Himself for me.' (Galatians 2:20)
I
have put a number of Scriptures together
To
state this Reality more completely:
I
have been Crucified with Christ and I no longer live
But
it is Christ Who lives in me;
And
this Life that I now live,
I
live by Faith in the Son of God
And
His Power at work in me.
I
set my heart on things Above,
My
Life is hidden with Christ in God;
I
clothe my self with the Garments of Christ
And
let His Word dwell richly in me.
Listen
to the apostle Paul elaborate on this Reality:
For
Christ's love compels us,
Because
we are convinced that One Died for ALL,
And
therefore ALL Died.
And
He Died for ALL,
That
those who live should no longer live for themselves
But
for Him Who Died for them and was Raised again.
So
from now on we regard No One from a Worldly Point of View.
Though
we once regarded Christ in this way,
We
do so No Longer.
Therefore,
IF Anyone is IN CHRIST,
He
is a New Creation;
The
Old has gone, the New has come!
All
this is from God, Who reconciled us to Himself through Christ
And
gave us the Ministry of Reconciliation:
That
God was Reconciling the World (all
who would believe)
To
Himself IN CHRIST,
Not
counting men's Sins against them.
(Faith
being counted as Righteousness)
And
He has committed to us the Message of Reconciliation.
We
are therefore Christ's Ambassadors,
As
though God were making His APPEAL through us.
We
Implore you on Christ's behalf:
BE
RECONCILED TO GOD.
God
made Him Who had NO SIN to be SIN for us,
So
that IN HIM we might become the Righteousness of God.
(2
Corinthians 5:14-21)
Here
is a Trustworthy saying:
IF
WE DIED WITH HIM,
We
will also live with Him;
IF
we Endure, we will also Reign with Him.
IF
WE DISOWN HIM,
He
will also Disown us;
IF
we are Faithless, He will remain Faithful,
For
He cannot Disown Himself.
(2
Timothy 2:11, 10)
If
we have been United with Him in His Death,
We
will certainly also be United with Him in His Resurrection.
For
we know that our Old Self was Crucified with Him
So
that the body of Sin might be rendered Powerless,
That
we should no longer be Slaves to Sin--
Because
anyone who had Died has been Freed from Sin.
NOW
IF WE DIED WITH CHRIST,
We
believe that we will also live with Him.
For
we know that since Christ was Raised from the Dead,
He
cannot Die again;
Death
no longer has Mastery over Him.
The
Death He Died, He Died to Sin ONCE FOR ALL;
But
the Life He lives, He lives to God.
In
the same way, count yourselves Dead to Sin
But
Alive to God IN CHRIST JESUS.
Therefore
do no let Sin Reign in your Mortal Body
So
that you Obey its Evil Desires.
Do
not offer the parts of you body to Sin,
As
Instruments of Wickedness,
But
rather offer yourselves to God,
AS
THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN BROUGHT FROM DEATH TO LIFE;
And
offer the parts of you body to Him
As
Instruments of Righteousness.
FOR
SIN SHALL NOT BE YOUR MASTER,
Because
you are not under Law, but under Grace.
(Romans
6:5-14)
Be
always on the Watch,
And pray that you
will be able to Escape All that is about to happen,
And that you may be
able TO STAND before the Son of Man.
(Luke 21:36)
Today,
the World is Raging Against God, Rushing toward Oblivion. (Psalm 2)
This
World in it's present form is passing away. (1 Corinthians 7:31)
America
is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.
Save
yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)
As
God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!
Father,
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
