URGENT: Texas Congressman Sends Warning Shot to Obama Over “Martial Law” Exercises in 1 Sentence

A lot of theories have been floating around as to the true nature of the U.S. military’s special operations exercise Jade Helm 15. While the Pentagon maintains that it is simply a training exercise, more and more people are growing concerned that it might actually be the first stage of something far more sinister.

A growing number of citizens and public figures are voicing their concerns about the plan that is scheduled to take place between July 15 and Sept. 15, 2015, and will occur on both private and public land in southwest states.

Texas Republican Louie Gohmert of the U.S. House recently became the latest political figure to raise concern over Jade Helm by making a bold demand of the Pentagon.

“The tone of the exercise needs to be completely revamped so the federal government is not intentionally practicing war against its own states,” Gohmert said.

“Over the past few weeks, my office has been inundated with calls referring to the Jade Helm 15 military exercise,” Gohmert said in a statement Tuesday. “This military practice has some concerned that the U.S. Army is preparing for modern-day martial law. Certainly, I can understand these concerns.”

After viewing the Pentagon’s map detailing exercise sites for Jade Helm, Gohmert says the he was “appalled” at the labels used to designate certain areas and states.

“Once I observed the map depicting ‘hostile,’ ‘permissive,’ and ‘uncertain’ states and locations, I was rather appalled that the hostile areas amazingly have a Republican majority, ‘cling to their guns and religion,’ and believe in the sanctity of the United States Constitution.” (H/T National Journal)

The Pentagon and the Obama administration insist that the Jade Helm 15 exercises are just for training purposes and in addition to aiding in the military effort, could provide economic stimulus for the states where the operations will take place.

However, joining Gohmert in his concern was Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who in April told the Texas State Guardto  keep a close watch on the exercises.

“During the training operation, it is important that Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property rights, and civil liberties will not be infringed,” Abbott said.

Also, “Texas Ranger” and martial arts icon Chuck Norris has spoken out against Jade Helm.

“Whether deterrence, display of power, or something more covert or devious, let’s not come with any patronizing nonsense of impotence and simplicity when its origin is in Washington,” Norris said.

These exercises may be nothing more than just that, military training. But when it comes to the Obama administration, the American people are twice shy, having felt the bite of deception far too many times.
