Wow. Former Obama Intern Drops CRIMINAL Bombshell About What Obama’s Campaign Did to Her
Barack Obama has always been one to chase female votes by crowing about the Republican Party’s alleged “war on women.” However, when it comes to putting that supposed empathy into practice, the president falls well short.
Marisa Adam, a former volunteer for the president’s 2012 campaign, has come forward to allege a culture of sexual harassment she endured and the indifference and punishment she was met with after complaining to superiors.
Adam, a 26-year-old graduate of the University of Chicago, is now on a hunger strike to protest her treatment at the hands of the Obama machine, according to TheBlaze.
She said that her hunger strike, which has gone on for 17 days, won’t end “until they take responsibility for their actions.”
“I don’t think people understand the point that I really loved Barack Obama,” Adam told reporters.
“I remember being in college and no one thought, in my dorm, he could pull it off in 2008 and I said, I think so. People thought I was nuts.”
However, when she started volunteering for Obama’s presidential campaign, things took a turn. Adam, who is African-American, alleges that white staffers would sexually harass her verbally, in addition to pulling her hair and touching her skin inappropriately.
When she went to Obama campaign officials about her complaints, however, her allegations fell on deaf ears.
An email provided by Adam shows an unnamed Obama campaign official telling Adam, “If it were me, I would probably just move forward at this point and don’t look back. Just capitalize on the volunteer opportunity you have starting next month … Happy holidays, please enjoy them and don’t worry about OLD drama!!”
“I complained about discrimination and harassment that I experienced,” Adam wrote in a complaint to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
“As a result of my complaint, I was told to leave the campaign and that I could not work in a paid positions for Respondent [the Obama campaign]. I was then demoted to volunteer. All of the white males who worked with me in the political department who applied for paid positions were offered and/or hired for those positions.”
As for the effects of her hunger strike, Adam says she frequently feels lightheaded. “I don’t know what happens. I am concerned about my health; what happens to your body if you go two weeks without eating and how that affects your health if you want to have children one day?”
While the president was not directly involved, Adam said he bears responsibility for the climate he created.
“What speaks the loudest to me is that they would only do that if they felt they could get away with it,” she said.
