‘Run Over…the Baby’: The Song That Rallies Arabs to Kill Israeli Infants A duo of 'Palestinian' singers has posted a song that encourages Palestinians to commit infanticide by using their cars to ‘run over’ Israeli babies, apparently inspired by a recent incident in which a Palestinian driver did just that. “Run over, run over the 2-month-old baby girl – that’s how we get back at them,” went the lyrics according to a report on the song by Israel’s Channel 2 News.  The rallying cry was strikingly similar to an attack October 22 in which a Palestinian driver slammed his vehicle into a group of bystanders at a Jerusalem light rail station. A 3-month-old baby girl, Chaya Zissel Braun, a U.S. citizen, was one of two killed when the car rammed into her stroller, sending her flying into the air. An Israeli government spokesman later identified the suspect as Abed Abdelrahman Shaludeh, a Hamas member who once served time in Israeli prison on terrorism charges. “For Al-Aqsa, we will run over the settlers,” sang the two men identified as Anas Garadat and Abu Khayad who posted the song according to Channel 2, referring to the Al-Aqsa Mosque holy to Muslims on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.  “Run over, run over the settlers. Turn the road into a trap and run them over, Allah will help you. The entire Arab nation tells you, Bless you Akari Ibrahim, run over, run over.” Akari referred to Ibrahim Akari, an Arab resident of east Jerusalem who Israel police said used his vehicle to assault a group of Israelis at another light rail station last week, killing two.  Eyewitnesses said he then emerged from his car wielding a metal rod after which he was shot and killed by an Israeli police officer who was in the area during the attack. Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the suspect was affiliated with Hamas. Channel 2 reported that the song was widely shared on Arabic social media and received positive comments.  There were, however, also critical comments including one from Ahmed in Jerusalem who wrote according to Channel 2, “Yes, you have to fight the Jewish settlers and the occupation, but not this way, because it will harm the interests of the Palestinian people.”  Israel Radio’s Arab Affairs correspondent Gal Berger last week reported on a new Palestinian social media campaign complete with animated posters encouraging Palestinians to use their cars to attack Israelis.
