The radical Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram is responsible for the "ransacking and torching" of more than 180 churches in Nigeria and the displacement of at least 190,000 men, women and children. Reverend Gideon Obasogie, whose church was among those burned, told the Associated Press the vast destruction and violence is "sad, heart-aching and potentially dangerous to the common good of Nigeria."
Earlier this year, Boko Haram made world headlines after kidnapping more than 200 Nigerian schoolgirls in an effort to expand its "caliphate." Last month, after a fourth suicide bombing, police rescued a ten-year-old girl who was wearing explosives -- confirming that the group is now using these girls as suicide bombers.
This is the terrifying face of radical Islam today.
Over the past few months in Iraq, hundreds of thousands of Christians and other religious minorities have been chased from their homes, forced to convert to Islam at the threat of death or murdered by ISIS terrorists; American journalists and British aid workers have been beheaded; and a convert to radical Islam beheaded a former co-worker in Oklahoma -- the heartland of our nation -- sparking fear that a radical Islamic terror wave is again crashing upon our shores!
