Trust in Jesus – by Ken Ebright
"I say this because I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future." Jeremiah 29:11
It’s amazing how things can change. I never imagined I would be forced to move out of my home of twelve years. I found a note on my door stating I had two choices, to move into one of their renovated apartments for $180 per month more, or find a new place to live. I felt like my whole world had been turned upside down. Right now, it’s hard to understand what good can come from this. I need to constantly remind myself God has been faithful in the past and I am thankful for the many years he‘s allowed me to live here.
Even though I feel like I've been doing the right things like reading his Word and serving him in various ways, still there are days I have cried out to the Lord and asked, “Why, are you allowing this to happen me?" I may never understand on this side of heaven. Hopefully in ten years, I'll look back and this time will only be a small blip on the radar screen. In the meantime, God has come through again and provided me with a new apartment that I can afford. Deep down, I know the Lord has my best interest and yours at heart. I just need to trust.
When the world and Satan turn things upside down, if I trust in Jesus, he can turn things right side up.
