Today,
the godless nations are attempting once again
To
build the Tower of Babel.
Although
they do not have a common spoken language
They
have the common language of commerce.
The
impetus behind the original was stated as follows:
Now
the whole world had one language and a common speech.
As
men moved eastward, the found a plain in Shinar (Babylonia)
And
settled there
They
said to each other,
'Come,
let's make bricks and bake them thoroughly.'
They
used brick instead of stone, and tar instead of mortar.
Then
they said, 'come, let us build ourselves a city,
With
a tower that reaches to the heavens,
So
that we may make a name for ourselves
And
not be scattered over the face of the whole earth
But
the Lord came down to see the city
And
the tower that the men were building.
The
Lord said,
'If
as one people speaking the same language
They
have begun to do this,
Then
nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
Come,
let us go down and confuse their language
So
they will not understand each other.'
So
the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth,
And
they stopped building the city.
That
is why it was called Babel—
Because
there the Lord confused the language of the whole world.
From
there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
(Genesis
11:1-9)
It
was the mercy of the Lord that gave them different languages
So
that they would not come together
And
accomplish their goal of unity.
Man
made unity is always godless, establishes a dictatorial state,
And
goes on to gross wickedness before God.
Nebuchadnezzar
is an example of this in Babylon later in history.
If,
at the Tower of Babel,
God
had allowed them to accomplish their goal of unity
He
would have had to wipe them out again
Due
to their gross wickedness
As
He had to in the days of Noah,
When
the sin of mankind became irreversible.
This
is always the destiny of mankind without God.
Today,
virtually every nation has built their cities
And
their towers that reach to the heavens,
Making
a name for themselves, glorifying themselves,
Ignoring
the God of heaven.
Their
cities are little Babylons, sick with sin.
Today,
commerce has brought them together.
Soon,
they will confirm their unholy allegiance to the son of Satan,
The
Antichrist, the Beast of Revelation.
They
have been driven there
By
their attempt to build their man made utopias,
Under
the deception of the evil one.
In
this pursuit they have incurred enormous debt
That
can never be repaid.
The
nations of the world will ultimately declare bankruptcy
And
look to the Antichrist as their savior.
They
have rejected God's Savior, Christ, Jesus,
But
in their godless, deceived mentality,
They
will receive Satan's pretended savior, the Antichrist.
This
will be the reconstitution of the Tower of Babel
And
its pretended glory
That
will be a short lived three and one-half years;
Culminating
in The Battle Of Armageddon
And
the return of Christ Jesus,
Who
destroys the armies of the godless nations.
At
the same time all the towers of the cities of the nations
Are
destroyed and most of their citizens killed.
Such
is the ignoble end of godless mankind as we know it.
Nevertheless,
today,
Every
person can turn to God and His Christ, Jesus and be saved.
