In God We Trust?

The House of Representatives just voted to reaffirm the national motto,

In God We Trust.

This is ironic in the extreme.

It is because this nation has not trusted in God

That it has the problems it is currently experiencing.

What does apply to many in this nation and it's national government is this:

“These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

They worship me in vain; Their teachings are but rules taught by men.”

(Matthew 15:8-9)

This nation was blessed beyond all other nations

In honor of our forefathers who came here looking for religious liberty;

A place where they could worship God according to their own conscious;

Those who were humble and contrite in heart 

And trembled at the Word of God,

And those who followed who were like minded.

That is the only reason America has been blessed as it has.

Now, however, the nation is blatantly dishonoring God,

His Word, His Covenant and His Christ, Jesus.

For this reason God has withdrawn His blessing

And this nation has been given over to the god of this world Satan.

The only thing that can reverse this course,

Would be for the nation to repent as did the Prodigal son,

And turn once again to God.

If this nation does not,

It will go the way of all the other godless nations that preceded her,

And take her place in the dustbin of history.

It will be as Christ Jesus said of another nation:

“Your house is left to you desolate,” and shortly thereafter it was.

I pray that America will turn back to God; that God can once again bless her.

All who do so will be blessed.
