Univ. Pres.: ‘Ideological Fascists’ Rule U.S. Campuses From Their 'Ivory Tower'
Professor (R) condems Ivory Tower Fascism.
Dr. Everett Piper, president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, says fascist intolerance – in the guise of “tolerance” – is running rampant in the nation’s college campuses today.
Piper, author of the book “Not a Daycare,” told Fox News Channel Host Martha McCallum on Thursday that universities have rejected free exploration of ideas in order to enforce a Fascist campus culture:
“My industry (academia) created this monster. We caused this problem.”“What we have right now is ideological fascists in the academy, in the Ivory Tower, in the colleges and universities, rather than academic freedom.”
Piper also blasts the inherent hypocrisy of punishing free speech and independent thought “under the banner of ‘tolerance.’”:
“And, today, if you don’t comply, if you’re not one of us, if you don’t think like I think and believe like I believe, if you’re not going to say what I want you to say, you’re verboten, you’re expelled, we do not want you.“And, we do this all under the banner of ‘tolerance’ – it’s like saying, ‘I can’t tolerate your intolerance’ or, ‘I hate you hateful people’ – it’s self-refuting at every turn.”
