"Rooted in Faith, Growing in Grace"

Theme: "Rooted in Faith, Growing in Grace."

Texts: Psalms 1:3, "He is like a tree planted by the streams of water, which yields its fruits in its season and whose leaf does not whither. What he does prospers."

Just like a tree planted our lives go through season of growth, pruning and harvest. Let us explore the parallels.

1. Planting: a seed is planted in fertile soil, just like we are planted in God's love, and grace( 1John 3:1).

3. Watering: a plant needs nourishing water, just like we need the living water of God's word to grow(John 4:14)

3. Sunlight: a plant needs sunlight to photosynthesize, just like we need God's presence to flourish (Psalms 16:11).

4. Pruning: a plant undergoes pruning to promote heathy growth, just like God prunes us through trials to refine our faith( Hebrews 12:11).

Harvest: A plant yields fruits in season, just like our lives should bear the fruits of the Spirit- love peace, joy, and more (Galatians 5:22-23).

As we grow in faith, let us:

● Sink our roots deep in God's love (Ephesians 3:17).

● Stretch towards the son, our source of light ( Psalms 104:2)

● Bear fruits that honors God(Matthew 5:16)
