BIBLICAL TRUTH FOR KIDS

 

Hi Friend, Back when I was 17 years old, I was an aspiring cartoonist who had just accepted Christ into my life. Wanting to combine my love for art and my faith, I decided to take some of the biblical truth I was learning from Pastor Chuck Smith and turn it into a cartoon gospel tract. I called the tract “Living Water,” and it outlined the gospel in cartoon form. I ended up bringing my drawings to Pastor Chuck at his home. He looked it over, smiled, and told me he’d like to print it. I was elated. Pastor Chuck had around 10,000 tracts printed, but they were gone immediately. Then he printed 100,000. Those were quickly used up as well. Ultimately, over a million copies were printed and used around the world to help people start conversations about God. Want your own Living Water tract? Click here to get yours! That event in my life was depicted in Jesus Revolution, and many who saw the film expressed interest in getting copies of that “Living Water” tract. So we thought, “Let’s bring this tract back and re-envision it, maybe modernize it a little bit.” That led to: “What about animating it?” The result was a brand-new series of cartoons based on my drawings and sketches from more than 50 years of doodling. It’s called The Adventures of Ben Born Again & YellowDog, and the first episode is out now! With YellowDog always getting into mischief and Ben setting him straight, each episode is filled with laughs, fun, and a clear presentation of the gospel. The first episode is based directly on that tract. I want to reach as many people as I can with biblical truth, and that includes children.
