TODAY’S VERSE

“So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you.

We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.

Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit.

All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.” Colossians 1:9-10 (NLT)

Abba Father, please give us a more complete knowledge of Your will for our lives so we can live for you better and better. It is our desire to live a life that will always honor and please You, so I ask that You will give a more complete knowledge of Your will and help us gain in spiritual wisdom and understanding. AMEN

TODAY’S THOUGHT

Do you desire to live a way that will always honor and please God? Do you want to produce every kind of good fruit with your life?

These are high and lofty goals that Paul wrote for the church.

These are goals that you and I need for our lives.

But how?

How do we achieve such spirituality?

We do what Paul did.

We pray and we don’t stop praying that God would give us a complete knowledge of His will and that we would know God better and better as we gain in spiritual wisdom and understanding.

It is through knowing God in this deep and intimate way that we will live the life He desires for us.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION

God gives us spiritual wisdom and understanding

As we meditate before God fix our mind on knowing you.

Help us all to see your power and glory coming toward us.

Help us sense your benevolence toward us and you cry out for spiritual wisdom and understanding.

He hears us and bids us to come sit at His feet to worship and learn from Him.

As we come to Him we affirm, “God gives us spiritual wisdom and understanding.”
