PREPARATION of the HEART
Throughout HISTORY Christians have suffered through trials and tribulations and been persecuted YET somehow in the passing of time so many HOLD to the very MISLED Concept that because we have been CHOSEN in Christ Jesus and we PRAY, that in God’s divine FAVOR we will not have to experience any persecution, some boldly say that’s a fact because we are KING’S Kids.
Isn’t that right
RIGHT, in that we are the King's children and that we have His favor upon us but WRONG in the ‘misleading thought’ that we are exempt from persecution in this present world.
As God HAS consistently said THIS throughout His Word...
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.”
YES, that IS what we have been told and guaranteed of IN PROMISE, throughout the Bible and for our lifetime, "GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE NOR FORSAKE US!"
You may be thinking, “Did Jesus Himself in prayer not ask that the cup pass from Him”
YES He did
So LET US NOW by GROWING in GOD’S LOVE, line ourselves up with Jesus’ example by FOLLOWING His Word that we might have the ‘selfless heart in prayer’ to 'say and accept' the part where Jesus went on to pray to His Father…
"NEVERTHELESS LORD NOT MY WILL BUT YOURS BE DONE!"
Note:
A ‘selfless prayer’ is one that in its conclusion SURRENDERS and SUBMITS to the GREATER CAUSE therefore choosing GOD over SELF, considering GOD and ‘His Kingdom’ purpose as MOST important.
