Friend,
Kaylee* was raised in a household that supported abortion. Neither she nor her parents considered themselves religious or pro-life. Kaylee found herself pregnant in high school.
She keenly remembered lying in bed with her hand on her belly, feeling a deep bond and connection with her unborn child.
But Kaylee’s father did not want his daughter to become a teenage mother, so he pressured his daughter to have an abortion.
Protect girls like Kaylee! Fund the fight for LIFE!
Given her family’s pro-abortion stance, there was no overt reason for the young woman to feel guilt, shame, or anything other than the “freedom” that abortion promised, according to her psychiatrist.
Yet one year after the abortion, Kaylee wound up in the adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit. She had tried to end her own life.
When doctors asked why she tried to commit suicide, Kaylee responded flatly, “I killed my baby.”
Kaylee’s doctor said: “Her shame and regret over her abortion stemmed neither from religious values, nor from others accusing her of wrongdoing.
It stemmed from her own experience of the maternal bond she had formed with the unborn life inside her during her unintended pregnancy.”
Too often, women in their childbearing years are pressured to kill their child in the womb by their boyfriend, husband, and/or parents looking to escape the physical, emotional, financial, or other responsibilities of caring for a baby.
And consider the case of one Lucien Greaves, co-founder of a group called The Satanic Temple.
Greaves and The Satanic Temple recently sued Texas, arguing that the state’s ban on abortions prevented the satanists from participating in “ritual abortions.”
STOP the EVIL of Abortion! Fund the fight for life today!
Meanwhile, The Satanic Temple of New Mexico is now offering FREE chemical abortions.
Lest one presume that the “Satan” aspect of these “temples” is a ruse, consider this ...
Social media pages for this “temple” show red and black robed anti-priests sporting blood-red pentagrams on their chests, performing “unbaptisms.”
During the “unbaptism,” congregants must reject the Word of God, declare “Hail Satan,” and accept the “Satanic Rosary,” after which the anti-priest claims he has “freed” the person from “all God has placed above you.”
In a press release announcing its new child-killing services, The Satanic Temple of New Mexico declared it will fight any pro-life laws that seek to prevent the satanists from performing their “Religious Abortion Ritual.”
The Satanic Temple website boasts chapters in nearly every state.
ALL claim a right to have “abortion rituals,” as per their dark arts.
Liberty Counsel has filed briefs in multiple states defending the unborn and protecting their mothers from the long-term mental and physical consequences of abortion because the facts are clear.
Abortion doesn’t just terminate the life of a child.
Abortion hurts women.
Studies show that post-abortive women suffer:
30-50% increase in breast cancer.
81% higher risk of mental health problems.
100% increase in suicidal behaviors.
200% increase in marijuana abuse.
37% higher rate of alcohol abuse.
34% higher rate of anxiety.
Increased risk of uterine fibroids, womb scarring, hemorrhaging, and more.
Meanwhile, chemical abortion drugs such as RU-486, mifepristone, and misoprostol have been clinically shown to cause infertility, future miscarriage, overgrowth of uterine lining, scarred and blocked fallopian tubes, hypokalemia, vaginal hemorrhage, sepsis, blood clots, and death of the mother, just to name a few side effects.
Furthermore, studies by the Mayo Clinic show that chemical abortions cause an increased risk of premature birth and low birth weight in future pregnancies.
It is worth noting that these abortion drugs were the Chinese Communist Party’s drug of choice in enforcing its previous one-child policy.
Liberty Counsel has been fighting for life since our founding in 1989.
Our powerful amicus brief was cited in the Supreme Court Dobbs ruling overturning Roe v. Wade. Now we are fighting for life state by state.
We continue to defend the unborn — and their parents — with state court filings, legislative support, and litigation.
In the 13 states with current abortion bans, the data revealed they had “a cumulative total of 43,410 fewer people who had abortions,” and “a monthly average of 7,235 fewer abortions after the Dobbs decision as compared to pre-Dobbs.” That’s 43,410 women SAVED from the devastating long-term effects of abortion. But millions of other women remain at risk.
We need YOUR help to save women and children from abortion.
Liberty Counsel also continues to defend pro-life hero Sandra Merritt in both the 16-million-dollar Planned Parenthood civil suit against her, as well as the first-ever criminal case brought by California (under the initiation of Kamala Harris and Xavier Becerra when they were attorneys general for California).
We’ve petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to review Sandra’s Planned Parenthood case. Please, join me in praying for justice — not only for this brave grandmother turned whistleblower, but also for all the children butchered for the abortion industry’s power and profits, and all the women left physically scarred and emotionally damaged by an abortionist’s knife or poisonous prescription.
With so many dark forces clamoring to kill children and maim women, WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Liberty Counsel never charges for our legal services. Instead, our clients and plaintiffs rely on faithful Liberty Counsel supporters like you to ensure justice is done and religious freedom remains free.
Please, give generously TODAY and a special Challenge Grant will DOUBLE THE IMPACT of your donation.
