The Call to the Child of God...Surrender!!
If I am negligent (careless, lacking order) in one domain of my life but not necessarily sinning, the Holy Ghost will be grieved. I must be humble in all things for the indwelling Spirit of Christ Jesus has no place in selfish vessels who seek to satisfy the flesh over the spirit!
If I profess to be a child of God I must be rightfully related to Him and it must manifest (be present) in my life; in thought by what I speak and in deed through my behavior! The surrender of my will is brought to death for the glorious will of God to unfold in me. I must desire to be righteous for God is righteous and in Him is no error. The faithfulness of my surrender to God the Creator is tested through trials; trials are repeated yet come in different forms until I learn the lesson he is teaching.
Impulsive behavior or mental thoughts that lead to self-serving have no place in righteous living. God will focus on and call out the thing in me; a stumbling block that is preventing forward movement into His Kingdom. God’s Kingdom principles and standards become mine as I surrender and bow down to the Giver of life. It is through the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit that God transforms me into His child of light. It is His still small voice of conviction that leads me on the path of righteousness where I surrender in repentance as He forgives and releases my forward steps to come in closer to Him.
The call of God to come up higher will require me to listen and obey to His voice. In communion and through the washing of the scriptures I connect with Father God and learn to hear his voice. It is Holy Spirit who helps me to hear the call and the strength to walk in it.
By surrender I am choosing to heed to God’s calling to come up higher; to climb mountaintops or step into the depths of the deepest deep with Him. This will require the removal of carnal living where I must be stripped to the nakedness of my soul and from the desires that control the flesh. It is here I step into the sweet surrender, where His thoughts outweigh mine.
Trusting God the Creator in obedience will come with sacrifice but we are not to worry because in righteousness is peace, joy, long-suffering and love; given in measures to us through God. The struggles in the flesh will decrease as Holy Spirit power increases; this is the place where we claim victory and freedom that Jesus’s blood already bought and paid for.
Acknowledging the cross of Christ and his Resurrection is different than living in the “it is done” understanding. What I mean is I can read about it in the scriptures but until I experience connection with the One who commanded Christ’s call it is useless. Jesus was always talking about how he was one with The Lord and how he desired that we too be one as they are one. It is in the oneness with the God of Creation that he becomes the Father where the intimacy of knowing him wrecks you and the understanding of his power and greatness comes in reverential fear.
Whatever I need Lord, you are the source and supply to the perfecting of my oneness with you. For all glory, dominion and power are yours alone…I worship to honor you Father God. In you I surrender, for only in you do I trust! Amen
