'Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist' Exposes the Heart of Those Who Won't Be Raptured
Read Time: 1 minute 45 seconds Reading the pages of the Bible, it can be hard to grasp something you have never seen before in your life. One of those is the rapture. But, thanks to the work of "Left Behind: Rise Of The Antichrist" you can now see what a modern day rapture would look like, and the aftermath that ensues. Charisma News sat down with Sam Sorbo to talk about the new thriller that comes out on Jan. 26, 2023. "When he (the screenwriter) wove in the elements of what's recently happened in our culture in our films all of our jaws dropped. It makes the movie that much more tangible. The rapture to the general public sounds so much like sci-fi it's hard to take it seriously," Sorbo says. In recent years, thanks to the hard work of Christians in the film industry, people around the globe have had a glimpse into the imagery of the Bible in a high-end film or TV series. "We've managed to get away from the typical old cheesy church movie stuff really well actually. I think there have been a number of creators who've managed to do that surprisingly well. It's a really good Hollywood caliber movie that includes a little bit of gospel," she says. Her prayer is that moviegoers would be inspired and encouraged in their faith to pursue God on a deeper level. Sorbo's character was one of the ones that did not get raptured. She wrestles throughout the movie trying to understand what happened and overcome her ego problems. "I think that's something that's been woven into us and seeded into us from the schools," Sorbo says. Her passion for the influence of cultures runs far past the lines in the film. Sorbo encourages other Christians to take their children out of the indoctrination in the school systems and bring them home to teach them true doctrine in scripture. "I advocate for home learning which is something like homeschooling," she says. With all of the agendas being pushed down the school systems throat, she believes now more than ever parents need to disciple their kids themselves. "They have the false doctrine and we should get our kids out of schools," she says. On her website www.SamSorbo.com she gives parents simple and easy tools to make this transition in their own lives.
