Slow Learners
H L Ford
Peter is what I call a slow learner, like me.
He asked the Lord, who had just said, “Don’t be afraid, it is I,” to prove it by saying, “If it is You, Lord, bid me to come walk on the water.”
Jesus had to ask him three times, “Peter, do you love me?”
Peter also had to hear three times, “Don’t call the gentiles unclean.”
I asked the Lord, who often repeated His power points, “What are you saying to me three times?”
Most of us usually see ourselves as so unworthy instead of as partakers of the divine nature.

Most of us usually see ourselves as so unworthy instead of as partakers of the divine nature.
When the sons of a Jewish priest confronted a demon, the evil spirit said,
“Jesus I know and Paul I know but who are you?” (Acts 19: 15).
If the devil is aware that you do not know who you are in Christ, he will keep you in defeat.
Who am I, Lord?
If the devil is aware that you do not know who you are in Christ, he will keep you in defeat.
Who am I, Lord?
I don’t feel like the righteousness of God in Christ.
“Don’t call unclean what I have cleansed.”
But, Lord, the enemy is accusing me.
But, Lord, the enemy is accusing me.
“Don’t call unclean what I have cleansed. You have a right standing with Me, you do not have to fear the powers of Satan.” (Romans 8:17).
Peter, who denied Jesus three times, learned He was forgiven and although still living in an imperfect flesh, a partaker of the divine nature by faith.” (2 Peter 1:4).
When the devil says, “Who are you?” the answer is:
Peter, who denied Jesus three times, learned He was forgiven and although still living in an imperfect flesh, a partaker of the divine nature by faith.” (2 Peter 1:4).
When the devil says, “Who are you?” the answer is:
I am God’s victorious heir of salvation.
By the authority of Jesus Who has redeemed me, I command you to get out.”
Satan is an even slower learner.
Satan is an even slower learner.
He may need to hear it more than twice (James 4: 7).
