Freedom from Double-Mindedness
Michael Edwards
Can you imagine having a child who could not make a decision?
Can you imagine having a child who could not make a decision?
You desire to bless them and fulfill their requests, but they cannot decide what they want.
That is how God sees His indecisive children.
He really does want to help us, but we are often double-minded, fearful of making the wrong decision. T
his fear is generated because we are relying on ourselves and our abilities instead of God.
Sometimes walking in faith and often walking in doubt, fear, and worry, we have a divided mind.
Afraid of making an error, we become trapped in our minds and overthink things to death.
What if we could be set free from the curse of double-mindedness?
What if we could be set free from the curse of double-mindedness?
We can. What if I told you it could become easy for us to make decisions? It can be.
God’s Warning About Double-Mindedness
A divided mind is like a plague, especially for those who have lived with indecision all of their lives.
God’s Warning About Double-Mindedness
A divided mind is like a plague, especially for those who have lived with indecision all of their lives.
It torments a person, steals life, incapacitates, and causes enormous grief and pain.
Indecision, double-mindedness, or a divided mind is something God warns us against.
He tells us in James that if we have a double mind not to expect anything from Him.
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:5-8 BSB
We can see by the verses in James that faith is the opposite of double-mindedness....
