Our Heavenly Father Fights For Us

Several boys had been bullying Jerry’s nine-year-old daughter on the school bus.

Righteous indignation burned in his heart, so he took Katie’s hand and marched with her to each home where he confronted each boy and his parents.
Three out of the four parents reprimanded their son right then and there.
The fourth father responded, “Well, boys will be boys.
What’s your problem?”
Jerry almost “lost his Christian attitude” that day and gave the father a knuckle sandwich.

On the way home, little Katie walked with a spring in her step, head held high, secure in her father’s love.
This love was far bigger than the bullies.
This love fought for her and protected her, treasured her.
She knew her daddy would lay down his life for her if necessary.
God, our Father, fights for us as well. He is on our side and against the bullies and one day he will call to account those who have caused us pain.
God, our Father, fights for us as well. He is on our side and against the bullies and one day he will call to account those who have caused us pain.
We can hold our heads high, treasured and secure in his unconditional love, knowing he is greater, even when circumstances seem to be against us.
And in his love, he did indeed lay down his life for us.
And in his love, he did indeed lay down his life for us.
He sent Jesus, his son; God made flesh, who died for our sins so we could be forgiven, made holy, and restored to an intimate relationship with our Abba, Daddy God.
When we repent and turn to Jesus as Savior, we are given the right to become the sons and daughters of God just as John 1:12 says.
That’s our Daddy’s love.
And nothing can ever separate us from it.
PRAYER: Dear Father God, thank you for making the way through Jesus for us to become your children. Thank you that you are on our side. Amen
