THE MIDEAST A "TINDERBOX READY TO EXPLODE"

Syrian air defenses fired missiles into the night sky yesterday, striking back after unknown forces hit a military air base in western Syria yesterday. The target is reportedly a site where the Hezbollah terror group—which enjoys patronage from Iran—maintains a significant presence. Israel refuses to allow Iran—or its clients inside Syria—to establish a forward base from which to attack Syria. And that means more hostilities ahead. See my message below – Mat.

Iran is aggressively ramping up their military and terror operations throughout the Middle East by using proxy fighters entrenched in like-minded nations. Their target: Israel!

As reported by the New York Daily News, Iran's regime is establishing military sites and recruiting militia proxy fighters in Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan, as well as Syria. Iran calls these positions "forward defense" sites, but, in reality they are most likely strongholds for aggression. 

That's why the newspaper is calling the Middle East a "tinderbox ready to explode."

Now, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has "reportedly ordered security cabinet meetings to be held in a subterranean Jerusalem location for the time being," according to World Israel News. One of Iran's midrange missiles could reach and raze Tel Aviv in 7 mnutes, the city most often referenced by Iran's leaders as a target.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Forces continue to pound Iranian military sites inside Syria in retaliation to Iran's aggression. An Israeli Air Force general said that Iran launched 32 missiles toward Israel already this month. Despite these recent decisive victories by Israeli forces against Iran's military strongholds in Syria, the threats from Iran continue to mount.

+ + The funding for Iran's proxy war was bolstered by the Obama administration
It's reported that Iran's funding of Hezbollah, Iran's preferred proxy fighting force, will reach $800 million this year. They are also recruiting Shia militia in regions where they are a formidable force.

Israel's Internal Security Agency, Shin Bet, has determined that Iran is funding Hamas' "March of Return," the violent campaign against Israel at the Gaza Border complete with burning tires, firebombs, explosives, and attempts to cut Israel's security fence and invade the Jewish state.
  

Iran's enhanced funding of terror came from the Obama administration's profoundly misguided nuclear agreement that infused a windfall of cash allowing the world's largest sponsor of terror to funnel an enormous amount of funds to be used against Israel.

+ + Iran must "withdraw"
 
In his first major address as United States' top diplomat, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo outlined 12 stiff measures that Iran must comply with under any new nuclear deal between the U.S. and Iran. First and foremost, Iran must put an end to its aspirations for nuclear weapons. Among the others, he demanded Iran end its support for Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, and withdraw its forces from Syria.

Within hours of Pompeo's address, an Iranian official threatened to punch Pompeo in the mouth -- and Syrian officials dismissed his call for withdrawal, meaning that Iran's missiles will remain aimed at Israel.

Radical Islamists have one goal: to annihilate Israel, the "little Satan." It's why Israel's neighbors still want "to erase Israel from the map," as Iran's supreme leader has declared.
