For over 6 years, Liberty Counsel has been in the crosshairs of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as they leveled unjust accusations and animosity toward us and other Christian-based organizations.
While the SPLC proclaims its dedication to "fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society," their true agenda appears far more disturbing. Mark Potock, editor-in-chief of the SPLC's quarterly journal, the Intelligence Report, defined the SPLC's real goal this way, "I want to say plainly that our aim in life is to destroy these groups, to completely destroy them."
+ + The SPLC is out to "completely destroy" Christian organizations like Liberty Counsel and Christians in positions of authority like Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore - all who stand for biblical values.
The SPLC filed the original complaints against Chief Justice Moore with the Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission (JIC). Then, in a brazen move, the JIC hired John Carroll, a former Legal Director of the SPLC to prosecute its politically motivated charges against Chief Justice Moore. Utterly outrageous! Carroll has been very vocal in his critique of Justice Moore and the Alabama Supreme Court.
