WHEN IT COME TO VALUES, THIS BUS NEVER TIRES
October 14, 2016 - Family Research Council
With less than four weeks until the November 8th election, the FRC Action team is on the road. Today General Boykin and I were in Colorado equipping Christian influencers with the tools they need to help turnout like-minded voters. As the election draws closer more and more people are looking for voter guides, analysis of where candidates stand on important issues, comparisons of the Party platforms, and voting information. FRC Action plans to reach over 4 million voters with our voter guides and other resources over the next few weeks. So please help us and pass the link to FRC Action along to your friends.
As many states voter registration deadlines approach this week, FRC Action's Values Bus will continue to travel the country, encourage values voters to get registered, and then stand for life, family values, national security, and religious liberty at the ballot box.
Earlier this week, the bus visited Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, as well as my home church in Louisiana. We were joined at this event by General Boykin, who inspired the crowd and urged them to engage in this election – possibly the biggest he's ever been a part of. Congressman John Fleming (R-La.) gave an update on what's happening in Washington, D.C. He shared about legislation like the Conscience Protection Act and why it's imperative that we have Conservatives in control of Congress next year if we want to see legislation like this passed.
The Values Bus is now in North Carolina -- where it will spend the majority of its time between now and the election. It joined the Carolina Values Summit yesterday morning and partnered with North Carolina Family Policy Council to hand out a great many voter guides in Raleigh in the afternoon.
Today, the bus stopped in Charlotte where it was joined by David Benham. David shared the importance of biblical citizenship and allowing truth to guide every area of our lives -- including how we engage and impact the culture. The bus plans to visit all 100 counties in North Carolina. If you live in the state, it could be coming to a location near you! For more information on the stops, visit ValuesBusTour.com. If you would like to bring the bus to a stop in North Carolina near you or are wondering how to get voter guides and voter resources, you can contact theTourInfo@ValuesBusTour.com.
