DREYERS CELEBRATES GAY RELATIONSHIPS IN NEW AD CAMPAIGN
'Emotive' spot 'captures real-life family moments'
(CREATIVITY ONLINE) – Real-life families feature in a new spot for Dreyer’s ice cream, set to a haunting cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” by Swedish artist Ane Brun. Captured by Reset’s Johnny Green, the ad, by Goodby Silverstein & Partners, is an emotive montage of authentic family moments, from a septuagenarian’s birthday party to Dads swimming with their kids to a young couple gazing into each other’s eyes on a fairground ride.
The tagline, “Celebrating togetherness since 1928,” is part of a new positioning for the brand that focuses on gathering with families and friends. As well as the online 90-second film seen here, there will be a 30- second TV version and an integrated campaign including print ads also featuring real families.
