CNN ANCHOR CLASHES WITH TRUMP ON SYRIAN CHRISTIANS
Obama's refugee program brings 98.5% Muslims from war-torn nation

Donald Trump got into a heated debate with CNN host Chris Cuomo in which Cuomo insisted that Trump was providing false information about the ratio of Christians versus Muslims being allowed into the United States as refugees from war-torn Syria.
“If you’re a Christian in Syria it’s almost impossible to come here,” under Obama’s administration, Trump said.
“That’s not true. That’s just not true,” said Cuomo, who accused Trump of “tearing at America’s fabric” by rejecting an “entire religion.”
“Does it matter to you that it’s not true?” Cuomo asked.
“It is largely true because the percentages are massively in favor of the Muslims,” Trump said.
“You have a massive Muslim population (in Syria),” Cuomo said.

Syria is about 89 percent Muslim but has a large Christian minority of about 10 percent. These Christians have been ruthlessly persecuted by ISIS, al-Nusra Front and other Islamic factions, which have stolen their property, shot or beheaded their men and taken their women as sex slaves.
"Excuse me Chris, the ones that are in the bigger danger are the Christians," Trump said. "They are having their heads chopped off."
"Christians are in trouble. And they are being allowed into the refugee program," Cuomo insisted.
"We are not allowing the Christians in anywhere near the extent we should be," Trump said.
"Why aren't we letting them in?" Cuomo asked.
"Well, I guess Obama set a policy or something," Trump responded.
"No he has not set a policy. He is letting them in. No, it's just not true. It's just not true."
U.S.-bound Syrians selected by U.N. are 98.5 percent Muslim
WND searched the federal refugee database and found the facts are much closer to Trump's position on the issue than Cuomo's.
First off, few Americans are aware that the United Nations selects which refugees get sent to America. This is how the program has worked since Congress passed the Refugee Act of 1980, signed by President Jimmy Carter.
So far this year, a check of the data from Jan. 1 through Dec. 8 shows at total of 2,034 Syrian refugees have been resettled in American cities and towns. Of that total, 2,003, or 98.5 percent, have been Muslim. Only 31, or 1.5 percent, have been Christian.
The 1.5 percent of Christian refugees is not even close to the 10 percent of Christians who make up Syria.
In the month since the Paris attacks that killed 130 people, 237 Syrians have come to America. Only one of them has been Christian, according to the data.
Debate over 'vetting' depends who you ask
Cuomo also parroted the talking points of Obama and the U.S. State Department about the "rigorous vetting" of refugees, which starts with a United Nations screening and ends with another vetting by the U.S. government.
But he failed to mention that the FBI has debunked the State Department on the validity of this vetting process. FBI Director James Comey warned during congressional testimony on Oct. 1 that it's impossible to vet the vast majority of Syrian Muslims because the U.S. government has no background data to cross-check the identities of refugees in a failed state like Syria.
WND has further reported in previous articles that Christians are afraid to even show up in the United Nations refugee camps because they are targeted by Muslims in the camps for violent attacks and rapes. Most are hiding out in churches and at the homes of other Christians as they run from their Islamic persecutors.
This has been confirmed by sources on the ground through agencies such as Aid to the Church in Need, a Catholic aid group that works in Syria, and also by Lord George Carey, the former archbishop of Canterbury in England, WND reported.
The world's largest U.N. refugee camp, Dadaab Camp in Kenya, is filled with some 300,000 Muslim Somali refugees. The camp is known to be inhabited by many Islamic jihadists, and the president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, threatened to shut it down in April, as reported by the Washington Post. The camp is not only unsafe for Christians, but the Muslims in the camp are suspected of launching attacks in Kenya, including the attack on a university in April that killed 147 Christian students at a prayer meeting.
