America began a marked departure from the ways of God during the 1960s.

Perhaps the most remarkable government decision came in two Supreme Court rulings that took prayer out of public schools. They weren’t decisions based on popular outcries. They were very much rulings based on the opinions of elite jurists out of touch with both America’s Christian heritage of liberty and its role in self-government and the popular will of the country.

Nevertheless, they were official rulings that have cost America much over the last 50 years. They also opened the floodgates to more Supreme Court decisions that are now cementing America’s rapid rebellion against God.

America was offered a wakeup call in 2012 with the story runaway bestselling book “The Harbinger” by Jonathan Cahn and the documentary movie treatment of the messianic rabbi’s message in “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment.” The former was a New York Times bestseller for more than 100 weeks and sold millions of copies. The latter was the bestselling faith film of 2012 and 2013.

While millions may have embraced that warning about the consequences of turning from God instead of seeking repentance and revival, the popular culture, the government, the educational establishment, the press and other institutions have plunged America into a full-scale, high-speed nosedive into the spiritual and political abyss.

Instead of turning back, America is turning away from God – at hyper-speed.

The consequences are ominous.

Too many Americans have become convinced that we can, as a nation, have it both ways – denying God and still somehow hanging on to our liberty, prosperity and security. It just doesn’t work that way.

A quote from James Madison is very relevant here: “We have staked the whole future of the American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future … upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.”

He chose his words carefully, and they were accurate and to the point.

Self-government as it has been known in the United States since the time of the founding will shortly become an impossibility.

The alternative is bleak. There can be no liberty as we have known it as a nation. There can be no prosperity. There can be no security. It is all at imminent risk. The hour is late.

What it comes down to is this: Put your faith in God or put your faith in government. The choice is that stark.

Keep in mind, before you make that decision, to consider one recent government scandal that has been vastly underplayed by the media in this frenetic news cycle: The hacking of federal databases by a foreign power that succeeded in compromising the identities of every single past and present government employee!

Can you really trust a government to protect your liberties that can’t protect your Social Security number, your address, your phone number, the report it did on your deepest, darkest secrets, your tax returns, etc.?

Can you really trust a government to protect your prosperity that has debt exceeding $20 trillion?

Can you really trust a government to protect your safety and security that has kept Americans defenseless from an electromagnetic attack that Congress’ own task force on the threat said could result in the deaths of hundreds of millions by frying electrical grids and digital circuitry?

I could ask many more questions like this.

I think the answers are pretty obvious.

Do you?

Will the American people awaken from their slumber?

Will Christians?

What will it take?

Is this the end of self-government?

Is it the end of the American Dream?

My comments: Yes, this is the End of self Government--the American People have believed the LIE! Yes, this is the End of the Amrican Dream--God's Gift to an Obedient People. And half of those who profess to be Christians will FALL AWAY! That is what Scripture tells us. For those who still believe Scripture.
