No
one comes to Christ Jesus unless the Father draws them.
(Matthew
6:44)
This
is an extremely important reality.
In
His three and one-half years upon this earth
Christ
Jesus did not draw a single person to Himself,
His
Father did by His Holy Spirit.
Christ
Jesus Himself, drew no one to Himself by Himself.
No
one came to believe in Christ Jesus
Except
that the father had drawn them.
This
reality has tremendous implications for Evangelism today.
An
Evangelist or Christian can proclaim the Word of God
But
the Father alone, by the Holy Spirit, can draw the hearer to His Son.
The
Father can draw people to His Son
Who
have never heard an Evangelist or a Christian proclaim the Word of
God.
This
is a supernatural reality; an example of the Sovereignty of God.
When
I came to believe in Christ Jesus I did not know a single Christian.
The
Father came to me Sovereignly, had me look at the Scripture where
Christ Jesus said He was the Way, the Truth and the LIFE,
At
that moment I knew that this was the Truth
And
I believed by the Power of God's Spirit;
God's
Spirit spoke to my spirit so strongly,
I
knew what He spoke was the Truth.
Since
God is no respecter of persons [Acts 10:34],
We
can understand that the Father visits every single person
And
gives them the opportunity to receive His Son.
Every
person that ever lived was visited by the Father
And
given the opportunity to receive His Son, Christ Jesus.
Why
then do so few become true believers in the Lord?
Christ
Jesus' Parable of the Sower explains this:
'A
farmer went out to sow his seed.
As
he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path,
And
the birds came an ate it up.
Some
fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil.
It
sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow.
But
when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered
Because they had no root.
Other
seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.
Still
other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop--
A
hundred, sixty or thirty times what as sown.
He
who has ears, let him hear.' (Matthew 13:3-9)
The
disciples came to Him and asked,
'Why
do you speak to the people in parables?'
He
replied, 'The Knowledge of the Secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven
Has
been given to you, but not to them.
Whoever
has will be given more, and he will have an abundance.
Whoever
does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.
This
is why I speak to them in parables:
'Though
seeing, they do not see;
Though
hearing they do not hear or understand.
In
them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
'You
will be ever hearing but never understanding;
You
will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
For
this people's heart has become calloused;
They
hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise
they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears,
Understand
with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.'
But
blessed are your eyes because they see,
And
your ears because they hear.
For
I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men
Longed
to see what you see but did not see it,
And
to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
Listen
then to what the parable of the sower means:
When
anyone hears the message about the Kingdom
And
does not understand it,
The
Evil One comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.
This
is the seed sown along the path.
What
was sown on rocky places is the
man who hears the Word
And
at once receives it with joy.
But
since he has no root, he last only a short time.
When
trouble or persecution comes because of the Word,
He
quickly falls away.
What
was sown among the thorns is the man who hears the Word,
But
the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it,
Making
it unfruitful.
But
what was sown on good soil
Is
the man who hears the Word and understands it.
He
produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was
sown.
(Matthew
13:10-23)
Only
those who have responded to the drawing of the Father
Are
those who have good soil; soil to receive and retain the sown Word.
This
is far beyond intellectual assent, this is a heart felt reality
That
becomes more real to those who receive it, than the world around
them.
The
world around us is passing away [1 Corinthians 7:31].
Those
who have good soil understand this reality.
Everything
around them is temporary,
“Sound
an fury amounting to nothing.” (Macbeth)
“Meaningless!
Meaningless!” says the Teacher.
“Utterly
meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” (Ecclesiastes 1:2)
What
is evil is called good and what is good is called evil. (Isaiah 5:20)
There
is a way that seems right to a man the end thereof is death.
(Proverbs
14:12)
Faith
and Faith lived out is all that matters.
Today,
the world is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)
America
is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.
Save
yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)
As
God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!
Father,
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
