'The
time is coming,' declares the Lord,
'When
I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel
And
with the house of Judah.
It
will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers
When
I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt,
Because
they broke my covenant,
Though
I was a husband to them,' declares the Lord.
'This
is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel
After
that time,'
Declares
the Lord.
'I
will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts.
I
will be their God and they will be my people.
No
longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, Saying,
'Know the Lord,'
Because
they will all know me,
From
the least of them to the greatest,'
Declares
the Lord.
'For
I will forgive their wickedness
And
will remember their sins no more.'
[Here, God is talking
about the New Covenant that Christ Jesus would bring into effect by
His shed blood on the cross of Calvary and the out pouring of the
Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. In the New Covenant the Holy
Spirit puts God's law in the mind of the believer
And writes it upon
their heart and becomes their teacher.]
This is what the
Lord says,
He who appoints the
sun to shine by day,
Who decrees the moon
and stars to shine by night,
Who stirs up the sea
so that its waves roar--
The Almighty is his
name:
'Only
if these decrees vanish from my sight,' declares the Lord,
'Will
the descendants of Israel
Ever
cease to be a nation before me.'
This is what the
Lord says:
'Only if the heavens
above can be measured
And the foundations
of the earth below be searched out
Will I reject all
the descendants of Israel
Because of all they
have done,' declares the Lord.
'The
days are coming,' declares
the Lord,
'When
this city will be rebuilt for me
From
the Tower of Hananel to the corner Gate.
The
measuring line will stretch
From
their straight to the hill of Gareb
And
then turn to Goah.
The
whole valley where dead bodies and ashes are thrown,
And
all the terraces out to the Kidron Valley on the east
As
far as the corner of the Horse Gate,
Will
be holy to the Lord.
The
city will never
again be uprooted or demolished.'
(Jeremiah 31:31-40)
God Almighty is in
absolute control over what happens on earth.
The nations that are
currently threatening Israel will soon be no more.
The mighty hand of God
will accomplish this.
What is about to happen
is as marvelous as the days of Noah;
The days when Israel
was delivered out of Egypt.
It will all happen
right before our eyes.
Satan will be put away
along with all who receive his “mark' and worship him. Evil will be
no more.
Christ Jesus will take
a Bride to Himself. There will be a wonderful wedding supper. This is
a glorious day we are living in.
It will be glorious for
all who can say along with King David:
One
thing I ask, this is what I seek
That
I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All
the days of my life
To
gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
And
seek Him in His temple. (Psalm 27:4)
Whom
have I in Heaven but you?
And
being with you, I desire nothing on earth. (Psalm 73:25)
I
said to the Lord, 'You are my Lord;
Apart
from you I have no good thing.' (Psalm 16:2)
As God has written, so
it shall be. Hallelujah! Maranatha!
