Watch! Commanded Christ

Watch for the signs of the END of the Age, declared Christ Jesus!

This is an explicit command of Christ.

Those who ignore this command, Ignore Christ Himself!

Therefore keep watch,

Because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 

(Mat. 24:42)

What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' (Mk. 13:37)

Christ Jesus gave this command,

Knowing full well that many generations would not experience it.

Yet, they too, were to watch.

A reason for this I believe, 

Is that He does come soon to every generation.

Our lives are short and we all go to meet Him, soon!

And of course, there is the final generation!

This command is of special importance to me 

Since I have just encountered a preacher who does not believe this. 

He preaches that watching for The END of the Age 

Is of little importance to us today.

That many have thought that it was coming and it did not come.

He does so at great peril for himself and those to whom he preaches.

He thinks that those who were wrong, 

Make Christians look foolish before the world.

Christ Jesus knew that this would be the case.

The preacher is correct, that through the preceding generations, 

Many have thought that they would experience The END.

However, that does not change in the least, the command of Christ!

Christ Jesus is not concerned about Christians looking foolish

To a lost and dying world. Are you! 

The apostle Peter said that in the last days scoffers will come saying: 
Where is this "coming' he promised? (2 Peter 3:3-4)


Jesus' answer is, at a time when you do not expect it!
