THEY HAVE EXCHANGE THE TRUTH OF GOD FOR A LIE

The One True God

“Indeed an hour is coming when those who kill you will think that by doing so they are offering worship to God.” John 16:2 (NRSV)

I can only imagine how distressed the disciples must have been when Jesus said these words. To hear that others would take their lives is frightening enough, but to believe that their enemies would be doing a favor to God is unbelievable. How could people be so confused the disciples may have wondered? How could they become so deceived? 

These words of Jesus are so relevant in the current global climate. There are religious groups today who blatantly proclaim that their ‘work’ is done in God’s name. He has, they say, told them to take the lives of others, for in doing so they are offering God worship.

However, Jesus had something to say about this. 

‘They will do this because they have not known the Father or me.” (John 16:3). 

Who are they worshiping? 

Neither God the Creator nor Jesus Christ the Son. When we truly know God and follow the teachings of Christ, we will understand that every good instruction and every perfect gift only comes from Him.

Do not be easily deceived by those who announce with authority that God has instructed them. 

Look for the fruit of their work. 

Beware of those who twist the truth to suit the god of their own making. 

They have exchanged the truth about the one true God for a lie and worship and serve the creature rather than the Creator, who alone is blessed forever (Romans 1:25).

My comments: In America there are Democrats and the like who claim to be Christians. However, the Fruit of their Religion is 250 Million Murdered Babies, Same-Sex Marriage that is and Abomination to God, the Indoctrination of America's children into their godless Religion and on and on. These will be the same people who assist the False Prophet in the Killing of All who refuse the "mark" of the Beast. (Revelation 13)
