President Joe Biden’s budget proposes to scrap more than $45 billion in fossil fuel subsidies, his administration’s latest attack on the beleaguered industry.

The White House budget will remove more than a dozen fossil fuel industry tax credits, increasing the federal government’s revenue by an estimated $45.2 billion between 2023-2032, according to the proposal published Monday. The administration explained that the proposal was written to prevent further fossil fuel investment.

“These oil, gas, and coal tax preferences distort markets by encouraging more investment in the fossil fuel sector than would occur under a neutral system,” the Department of the Treasury wrote in its general budget explanation.

“This market distortion is detrimental to long-term energy security and is also inconsistent with the Administration’s policy of supporting a clean energy economy, reducing our reliance on oil, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” the department added.

Of the more than $45 billion in credits removed under Biden’s budget, the proposed repeal of the so-called “use of percentage depletion” with respect to oil and natural gas wells accounts for a whopping $13 billion, the largest slice. The credit enables independent producers to deduct 15% of their gross revenue from their oil and gas properties.

Two additional proposals — ending the practice of expensing intangible drilling costs and increasing the geological and geophysical amortization period for independent producers — will increase government revenue by more than $10 billion each over the next decade. The current tax code allows independent drillers to obtain deductions on costs related to exploration of a particular well over a 24-month period.

“This budget is basically a $45 billion tax increase on the oil and gas industry,” Mike Palicz, the federal affairs manager at Americans for Tax Reform, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “This is more targeting oil and gas for provisions that are just good tax policy that any industry should be able to take advantage of.”

“This is a clear effort to continue to try and paint (the oil and gas industry) as the villain,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has upended global energy markets, sending crude oil prices skyrocketing above $100 per barrel and gasoline prices to record levels. The average cost of gasoline hit $4.24 per gallon nationwide Tuesday, up more than 48% compared to a year ago.

Republicans, who have doubled down on calls for the Biden administration to incentivize domestic energy production in recent months, slammed his tax proposal Monday.

“President Biden wants to spend more taxpayer dollars on his green energy schemes instead of increasing American energy production to solve the energy crisis he created,” Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso, the top Republican on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, said in a statement. “The president’s priorities could not be more out of touch with families in Wyoming and across the country.”

“This budget is dead on arrival. Republicans will focus on what Americans care about most: national security, energy security, and economic security,” he continued. “That means tackling inflation, unleashing American energy production, and keeping Americans safe.”

The White House didn’t respond to a request for comment.

I thought Cheryl Cooky – Purdue University professor of American studies and women's, gender and sexuality studies – set a new standard of mental illness and delusion when she claimed Will Thomas was a modern-day Jackie Robinson. Will Thomas is the mentally ill fake pretending to be a woman so he can sate his pathetic ego by winning swimming events he wasn't good enough to even qualify for competing against other men.

But, Nancy Pelosi's comment extolling Biden makes both Cooky and the Thomas guy seem normal even if those two are certifiably nuts, as in crazy.

At her St. Patrick's Day luncheon, Pelosi showered Biden with praise as a "devout Catholic" and for his "deep Catholic faith." Obviously Pelosi was praising Biden as a "devout Catholic" based upon her personal lack of knowledge and refusal to adhere to her supposedly Catholic faith. It's clear that Pelosi knows less about Catholicism than she does about telling the truth, and she's a born pathological liar and calumniator.

I'm not a Catholic, but I have many Catholic friends and acquaintances in both laity and the priesthood. That said, sin is sin whether you are a Catholic or a Protestant.

Joe Biden is a vile, morally bankrupt unrepentant liar who needs sticky notes to find his way to the toilet. That said, regardless of what Pelosi tries to spin, lying is a sin, and the Bible says God hates a liar and that unrepentant liars will not be in heaven.

Once upon a time Biden was against vaccine mandates. As president-elect in December 2020, he was asked, "Do you want vaccines to be mandatory?" His answer at the time seemed clear, "No I don't think it should be mandatory, I wouldn't demand it be mandatory." LIAR! Also, he has repeatedly lied about the death of his first wife. LIAR!

Sexual infidelity is a sin whether Pelosi's idea of Catholicism says so or not. She may be the princess of darkness, but that's not synonymous with being God.

Allegations abound that Biden stole his friend's wife. His drug-addicted, sex-obsessed son is reported by reputable sources to have been sexually involved with a minor family member. Even by the mobster code of ethics instilled in Pelosi by her Baltimore, M.D., mobster father, the aforementioned would have been unacceptable. But, the Biden family is more like something out of Macbeth.

Contrary to Pelosi's idea of Catholicism, devout Catholics do not subscribe to criminal tactics to enrich one's family. Biden is reported to have enriched his immediate family through criminal enterprise in the hundreds of millions of dollars. He has used his lifelong political career not to help the America people, but to blackmail, steal and engage in moneymaking rackets created by politicians to enhance their fortunes.

The Bible tells us to "be not drunk with wine." Here again Biden fails the test for devoutness and faith. It's no secret that Biden has always been a drunken, womanizing blowhard. The accounts abound even today of Biden's drunken binges in Scranton, Pennsylvania, which ended with him passed out face down drunk at a bar table.

In the Scriptures, God condemns sacrificing to Moloch, but Biden and Pelosi have worked tirelessly to industrialize the extermination of approximately 65 million children.

Where is the "social justice" for the unborn and born children (thanks to infanticide) that Biden demands for illegal aliens?

According to Liberty Unyielding: A week and a half before the 2020 election , a Project Veritas whistleblower provided a digital copy of daughter Ashley Biden's diary to National File.

Entries in the diary include the author revealing she believes she was sexually molested as a child and shared "probably not appropriate" showers with her father, some that detail the author's struggle with drug abuse and her crumbling marriage with multiple affairs, along with entries showing the family's fears of a potential scandal due to her brother's new home, and those that show a deep resentment for her father due to his money, control and emotional manipulation. What part of devout Catholicism endorses this behavior, pedophile priests notwithstanding?

The only thing devout about Biden is that he's a devout liar and an unmitigated fool. He is a blight upon the fabric of America.

If the Catholic Church had any moral fiber, it would excommunicate both Biden and Pelosi for actively promoting everything that God in Scripture condemns, including homosexuality and respect of persons based upon invented genders and melanin content. How will Catholic leadership reconcile allowing those like Biden and Pelosi to knowingly lead people astray?

Biden and Pelosi are disgraces to the truly devout Catholics who take Jesus Christ and their faith serious. But the day of reckoning awaits them and all of those like them. They will have an eternity to burn in hell, which should ample time for them to consider the "devout" error of their satanic ways.

Biden and Harris 'incompetent'? See how many Americans think so

'A very disturbing result at a time when inflation is rampant and war is threatening the world'

It's no secret to anyone that many Americans disapprove of Joe Biden's performance in office, as well as the work attempted by Kamala Harris.

Neither is it a secret that, based on his behavior that some consider indications of dementia, many would like Biden to take a cognitive test and release the results.

But now a new poll from McLaughlin & Associates reveals that six of 10 Americans think either Biden or Harris – or both – are "incompetent."

The pollster explained in an analysis at Newsmax, "This means six in 10 voters view either our president, the vice president or both as incompetent. This is a very disturbing result at a time when inflation is rampant and war is threatening the world."

Further, the polling shows that Americans are backing a brain test for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, an octogenarian, too.

Paul Bedard in his Washington Secrets column noted it was a "growing sign of voter concern about the cognitive abilities of the nation’s elderly leadership."

He continued, "The results follow a series of apparent mental flubs by the 79-year-old president, the latest being a flip, flop, flip on calling for the ouster of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Yesterday, his staff wrote him a notecard titled 'Tough Putin Q&A Talking Points.'"

On the question of competency, 15% say Biden is more incompetent, 11% say Harris is more incompetent, and 33% say both. A minority of 35% said neither was incompetent.

Fifty-eight percent said Biden should take a cognitive test and release the results.

The polling revealed virtually no bright spot for the Biden administration. Sixty-five percent say the nation is on the wrong track; only 29% said it is the right direction. Republicans draw 48% of the support in a generic ballot for Congress, to the Democrats' 44%.

And 57% disapprove of Biden's job performance. Harris is viewed favorably by only 40%, but that was better than Pelosi, who is seen favorably by only 33%.

The polling also revealed a huge reversal – about the time Biden launched his campaign – and COVID-19 hit – in those who believe the nation is in recession. Before that time, under President Trump's tenure, nearly 70% said there was no recession. Currently 53% say there is. And worse is the 70% who say the economy is getting worse now.

A huge 68% of Republican primary voters want President Trump to return to the ballot for 2024, and if he runs, 82% of Republican primary voters promise to support him. In a hypothetical rematch between President Trump and Biden, Trump wins 49%-46%. Trump would beat Harris and Hillary Clinton by even larger margins.

And a full 55% said Biden won't even last to the end of his elected term.

Majorities also blame Biden more than Vladimir Putin for surging gas prices, and 68% said American should be expanding its oil and gas industry.

'Huge red flag': NBC anchor panics over GOP lead in network's poll

'People are blaming President Biden's policies for inflation!'

A panel on NBC's "Meet the Press" found a "huge red flag" in the network's latest congressional election poll, which has the Republican Party uncharacteristically in the lead on the generic ballot amid inflation and war.

Host Chuck Todd noted Sunday that the Republicans 46-44 lead is the first time the party has led in NBC's generic ballot since September 2014, the Media Research Center's site Newsbusters reported. And the Republicans advantage actually is greater.

"There is always a little bit of a Democratic add because Democrats are more packed in more districts here," he said. "This is a huge red flag!"

NBC News Washington correspondent Yamiche Alcindor agreed.

"It's a huge red flag, and it's coupled with the idea that people are blaming President Biden's policies for inflation," she said.

The poll showed 38% blame Biden for rising prices.

Alcindor pointed out the poll indicates voters trust Republicans more to lead Congress and steward the economy.

"That's going to be a hard thing for Democrats to overcome and to message about," she said.

Todd noted gas prices and inflation amount to "a regressive tax" that "impacts people harder farther down the socioeconomic ladder."

Panelist Steven Hayes, editor of the Dispatch, said Biden and the Democrats are doing poorly because the economy isn't getting better and Biden is "not willing to do the kind of things, I think, both with respect to the war and the economy that might actually help."

Hayes said Biden's left-wing base, which insists on a radical, green energy policy, won't let him do practical things to bring down gas prices.

Todd noted that contrary to the White House's messaging, only 6% of voters blame inflation on Russia's invasion of Ukraine. NBC found 38% blame Biden while a majority blame something else.

USA Today Washington bureau chief Susan Page argued inflation "was becoming a problem before Russia invaded Ukraine."

She observed that "three of the last four Presidents have lost control of the House of Representatives in their first midterm election."

The Senate Judiciary Committee met Monday to discuss President Biden's nominee for the Supreme Court, Judge Kentanji Brown Jackson. After holding hearings last week, the committee will likely vote on Judge Jackson's nomination as early as Monday, April 4.

Couldn't Define 'Woman'

— In case you missed it, as the video above shows, Sen. Marsha Blackburn asked Judge Jackson to define the word "woman." She went on to say, "I'm not a biologist."

— It is crucial that our leaders acknowledge basic truths. This is sadly yet another example of someone unable to recognize and affirm the importance of men and women's God-given unique abilities.

Proven Anti-Life Record

— When asked by Sen. Feinstein about Roe v. Wade, Judge Jackson called the high court's landmark decision "settled law," noting it has been repeatedly reaffirmed by the court and "relied upon."

— When asked by Sen. John Kennedy, "In your opinion, when does life begin?" Judge Jackson responded, "Senator, I don't know."

— As an attorney, Jackson co-authored an amicus brief on behalf of the National Abortion Rights Action League and other abortion groups, supporting the creation of a free speech "buffer zone" where pro-life advocates were barred from speaking to pregnant women before entering an abortion clinic.

— After the Trump administration blocked funding for the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, which helped fund Planned Parenthood, Judge Jackson restored their funding in a class action lawsuit.

Controversial School Support

— Judge Jackson serves on the board of Georgetown Day School. Senator Blackburn cited that the school "teaches kindergartners—5-year-old children—that they can choose their gender and teaches them about so-called white privilege." The school has also hosted an organization called "Woke Kindergarten."

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a parents' bill into law this afternoon which has seen national opposition from LGBT activists, the media, the Disney Corporation, and the White House itself. The law prohibits schools from officially instructing students about sexual orientation and gender identity through K-3rd grade, ages 5-9.

It also protects parental rights and requires parents to be notified of any changes affecting their child's mental, physical, or emotional well-being or health. In addition, it forbids school districts from withholding information from parents. In a desperate attempt to demonize the commonsense bill, the left has dubbed it the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

Throughout the legislative session, opposing groups repeatedly made deliberately false allegations about the legislation's content, and pro-LGBT groups even launched a televised ad campaign asking people to call Disney to publicly oppose the parental rights bill.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek in turn called on DeSantis and met with him to oppose and veto the bill, but DeSantis responded privately and publicly by saying that he is committed to parents' rights and would not cave to Disney's woke demands. Afterwards, Disney said they would increase support for the LGBT movement by giving the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) $5 million, but the DC-based "gay" group rejected the funds saying that Disney had not gone far enough, and they wanted their action not their money.

Disney employees then threatened to punish their own company with a "massive walk out" for not doing more to oppose the bill. News accounts reported that the actual walk out ended up being around 75 people outside the Disney administrative offices off of Interstate 4.

A recent poll showed that around 67% of Americans support the concept of the bill and disagrees with Disney. Another poll showed that 53% of Florida Democratic primary voters supported the bill, contrary to what national media has claimed.

At the signing, January Littlejohn, a parent from Leon County, testified about when her daughter was encouraged to change her gender in school without her knowledge, and Erin Lovely, a homeschool parent, spoke about a situation when her 2nd-grade son tried to tell his teacher that God only made two genders and was corrected by his teacher. They both spoke optimistically about the good this law will do for Florida's small school children.

Gov. DeSantis flanked in support by parents with small children said: "In Florida, we not only know that parents have a right to be involved; we insist that parents have a right to be involved. Today, we will sign HB 1557, The Parents' Rights in Education bill. ...Parents have a fundamental role in the education and well-being of their children. We will not move from what corporate media outlets say—I don't care what Hollywood says, I don't care what big corporations say; here I stand. I'm not backing down."

John Stemberger, President of the Florida Family Policy Council, released the following statement on Gov. DeSantis signing of the new parental rights legislation:

"We applaud with a standing ovation Governor DeSantis's firm stand for parental rights and for protecting children. The Governor was a solid rock as he fought for first principles of good government. He did not budge an inch in the face of the lies and false narratives being perpetuated by the media and small group of radicals. DeSantis's warrior DNA was on full display when he called out journalists to their face who clearly hadn't read the parental rights bill and then told Disney to pound sand. This law is necessary because schools have become more concerned with indoctrination than they are with education. This is not a "don't say gay" bill. It is a "don't turn my son into a daughter" bill. Little elementary school kids do not need to be introduced to transgenderism and other radical views of human sexuality that parents find harmful and are not in their children's best interest.

Finally, we commend the leadership of the House and Senate as well as the bill sponsors Senator Dennis Baxley and Representative Joe Harding for their work."

The bill goes into effect as law on July 1st, 2022.
