Man Refuses to Deny Christ Despite Being Hanged by ISIS, Tortured With Nails and Barbed Wire

A Christian man from IS' stronghold of Mosul, Iraq has shared, in an attempt to force him to convert to Islam, militants strung him up from the ceiling of a jail cell and violently tortured him with nails and barbed wire - yet he refused to deny Christ.

Carlos, a refugee from Mosul living in Jordan, shared with Christian Aid Mission how, when ISIS invaded Mosul in the summer of 2014, they gave Christians four options: leave, convert to Islam, pay a protection tax (jiyza) or be killed.

When Carlos refused to comply with ISIS' demands, militants took him to a location he did not know and hung him upside down by one leg.

"They tortured me by electric shock, beat me with sticks stuck with nails and bound me with barbed wire," he recalled. "They put salt on my wounds. I was shouting from the intense pain."

The torture continued until he appeared in court, where a judge told him that he had to become a Muslim to save his life.

"I refused and said, 'If I die, I will die proud, because I am a Christian,'" he said. "The judge responded, 'You will be shot and executed on Sept. 26."

On that date in 2014, they took him to the outskirts of Mosul, but before the execution the militant in charge went to a corner to call a superior. He returned saying he had orders to leave the Christian there. Kicking and hitting Carlos, ISIS members threw him from a car, the young man said.

"I tried to walk, but after a while, my bleeding wounds caused me to fall down and pass out," he said.

Eventually, the young man regained consciousness in a hospital in Kirkuk.

"In Iraq, they could not treat my leg and told me it needed to be amputated," he said. "But then I went to Spain, and my leg was treated in the Spanish hospital through an organization. Thank God I can walk now, but I have nothing to live on here in Jordan."

Although there was over 1.5 million Christians in Iraq before conflict began in 2003, a report released in May revealed that that as much as 80 percent of Iraq's Christian population has fled from their homes, leaving less than 275,000 believers in the country.

An independent United Nations commission on Syria ruled in June that IS has committed genocide against Yazidis; however, it hasn't yet ruled that the group has committed genocide against Christians.

Speaking to The Gospel Herald, Chaldean American Spokesman Mark Arabo said, "The world has not seen a humanitarian crisis like Iraq and Syria since the Holocaust, it's a full-blown Christian genocide. Our churches are being destroyed, our museums wiped out, women and children wiped out because of their faith. We are hopeful that we will get some confirmation from Washington that President-elect Trump and the new congress will work together to make sure that they end this genocide."

He added, "We need to stay the course and make sure that those in the camps are not forgotten about, and let the world know that history will not be kind to any elected official that does not save the victims of this genocide."

Ryan Defends Obama Russia Sanctions As Mexico, El Salvador Invade USA

House Speaker Paul Ryan is a guy who often seems to drift into a sort of parallel universe in which he’s really the president-elect rather than a politically positioned tool of the establishment money changers. Aside from someone pulling the appropriate string on his back, he seems to be totally lost as to the reason why he is issuing a statement on the Obama sanctions against Russia. After hearing his comments, it’s even tougher to understand what, if anything, is taking place between his ears.

Ryan said, in what begins like a lesson for elementary school students, “Russia does not share America’s interests. In fact, it has consistently sought to undermine them, sowing dangerous instability around the world.” There are lots of nations like that, Ryan, they’re called adversaries. Some of them are even enemies. Some of them, such as your favorite source of job-displacing illegal foreigners, Mexico, as well as Costa Rica, Honduras ,El Salvador, Guatemala, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia, all doesn’t share America’s interests and are engaged in an invasion. We’re not being invaded by Russia yet Obama is imposing sanctions on them and we’re sending aid money to the aggressors who are storming our border. Why is that, Mr. Speaker?

Ryan added his less than two cents’ worth, saying, “While today’s action by the administration is overdue, it is an appropriate way to end eight years of failed policy with Russia. And it serves as a prime example of this administration’s ineffective foreign policy that has left America weaker in the eyes of the world.”

The reporter says Ryan is “taking the opportunity to criticize ‘president’ Obama’s overall foreign policy towards Russia over the course of the last eight years but also not criticizing this move.

So the substance of the Ryan message, if there can be such an assignment made to it, is that Russia is not our ally, and it’s time to punish them for their behavior of the last eight years, the chief offense being not sharing our interests and working against ours when it benefits them. Doesn’t every nation that isn’t committing suicide under a globalist coup act in that manner? Within reason, isn’t that what a national interest is?

The stated purpose of the sanctions is in retaliation for the hacking of the election, but Ryan doesn’t mention that, he just cites eight years of failed foreign policy. The supposed reason for the actions, the “hacking” is still merely a Democrat accusation. No proof has been shown, with the only report, a joint publication issued by DHS and the FBI featuring a prominent disclaimer in the header that it was for informational purposes only and that they do not stand behind the content.

Please tell us, Mr. Speaker, why is it that you support the sanctions and what is it that triggered them? Are the same people within the military industrial complex that have John McCain and Lindsey Graham salivating all over each other to get into a war with Russia also putting their words into your mouth?

Since China, Pakistan, Cuba, and a host of nations around the globe also don’t put American interests ahead of their own, are sanctions against them also in the works? Will we be sanctioning Hussein Obama for not putting America first for the last eight years as well?

Are you, Mr. Speaker, as is customary, merely taking action based upon a political calculation that comes out of the establishment globalist leadership structure that put you into power? Are you once again, as it seems, just blabbering on with no idea of the point you are trying to make, putting some long enough and important sounding words to paper in order to “justify” your position and make it appear that you’re a tough guy representing the American people? Doesn’t that make you just like the do-nothing, know-nothing clown that is currently occupying the White House and with whom you are in agreement?

When it comes to evidence to support the Clinton-initiated claims of hacking, the old saying, put up or shut up comes to mind. In your case, Mr. Speaker, a simple shut up will be sufficient.

As the Jan. 20 Inauguration Day approaches, there are rumors and plans flying around about protests and disruptions. And there are the music artists who have reportedly turned down invitations from President-Elect Donald Trump to perform.

But then there are those who are coming out in force to show their support for the swearing in of the 45th President of the United States.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee has announced the lineup for the 8,000-participant parade, who will lead the new president with much pomp and circumstance from the steps of the Capitol after his swearing-in ceremony to the doors of the White House, where he will immediately get to work in his new home.

Committee CEO Sara Armstrong excitedly announced, “People from every corner of the country have expressed great interest in President-elect Trump’s inauguration and look forward to continuing a salute to our republic that spans more than two centuries.”

She added, “As participants follow in the footsteps of our new president and vice president down Pennsylvania Avenue, they will be adding their names to the long list of Americans who have honored our country by marching in the inaugural parade.”

The major national groups taking part are as follows:

HEINOUS AND NEFARIOUS OBAMA AT WORK

What Obama is doing now may be his MOST heinous and nefarious act yet…

(Allen B. West) What we’re witnessing in America is beyond belief, as if Roman Emperor Nero has been reincarnated in President Barack Hussein Obama. In his dwindling days, Nero began to demonstrate certain instability, and as story tells it, he famously fiddled while Rome burned. Some have written that Nero ordered the fires to be started himself. 

And in these final days, 21 days, 4 hours, 30 minutes and 50 seconds of the Obama administration, we find the disturbing and disconcerting actions of one who is starting fires while he plays golf.

There’s no logical explanation to the deeds being done by Obama in these final days. Last week’s undermining and betrayal of Israel cannot be explained away by any 90-minute diatribe by John Kerry. We’ve shared the history of the word “Palestine” on these pages. And to have Obama craft language, abstain from a vote, and allow such an anti-Israel resolution to pass through the U.N. Security Council is inexplicable, other than seeking to usher in the demise of a recognized nation-state.

The recent sanctions and expulsions of Russian officials from America is unconscionable. After all the previous provocations of Russia against the United States, why now, with three weeks before the inauguration of a new presidential administration, does this happen?

Obama will be able to walk away from this action which will fall squarely into the lap of the incoming Donald Trump administration. 

And we must ask ourselves, if Hillary Clinton had won on November 8th, would any of this be happening? 

After all, it was Obama who sought to ridicule, chastise and embarrass one Mitt Romney in 2012 when he stated Russia was our greatest geo-political foe. It was Obama who confided that he would have more “flexibility” after his reelection. And in his final press conference before whisking off to another vacation in Hawaii, Obama told us he admonished Vladimir Putin by telling him to “cut it out” — yeah, that’s REALLY gonna spook a former KGB Colonel and judo black belt.

So now, we’re supposed to believe Obama is all tough? Nah, this is just another instance of a fire being started by our present-day little Nero because he’s angry at being rejected. 

This is Obama being the petulant narcissist that recently told us he would have beaten Donald Trump if he ran for a third presidential term.

And I’ve been getting some inside baseball intelligence about the lack of cooperation in the Obama administration with the Trump landing teams. As stated, if Obama can’t have his way, he’ll be damned and will, as the Talking Heads sang it, be “burning down the house.”

And we have another example of how Obama is burning down our nation, leaving us unguarded.

As reported by Defense News, “The Dwight D. Eisenhower carrier strike group chopped out of the European theater of operations Dec. 26 and headed home to Norfolk after months of operating in the Arabian Gulf and the Mediterranean, where the strike jets of Carrier Air Wing 3 flew hundreds of missions against Islamic State group targets in Syria and Iraq.

The homecoming is set for Dec. 30 — two days shy of the Navy’s stated goal of bringing the group home in seven months. US carrier groups regularly relieve each other in theater, often handing off duties within sight of the other in the Arabian Gulf or Arabian Sea.

But this time, no carrier is in the Eisenhower’s wake. The relief ship, the carrier George H. W. Bush, has yet to leave Norfolk, and it’s unlikely to do so before the Jan. 20 presidential inauguration of Donald Trump, according to a Navy source.

The gap could last as long as two months, sources said, between the time the Eisenhower left the combat theater and the Bush arrives. And that gap comes at a particularly inopportune time. Numerous media reports indicate intelligence organizations and analysts are on the lookout for provocative actions by potential antagonists — in particular Russia, China, North Korea, Iran or ISIS.

Terror alerts, according to media reports, are high in many regions, including Europe, the Middle East and North America, due to a confluence of factors — the new year, ISIS’ diminishing power in the face of counterattacks in Iraq and Syria, and a natural tendency to test a new administration. Other Central Command carrier gaps have taken place in the past, usually when a strike group is needed elsewhere or maintenance issues at home have forced ships to deploy late. The Pentagon plans for such events, often dispatching expeditionary US Air Force units to the region to pick up the slack — something that seems to have taken place now. The newest gap is not a surprise, and actually has been months in the making — arguably well over a year.”

We reported here about the previous gap in carrier strike group coverage in the Middle East. During that period, the United States went to France to provide coverage — what does that say about our readiness? And what message does that send to our enemies…and sadly to our allies?

If you haven’t been paying attention, when was the last time you heard about Mosul? Remember that little supposed “October surprise” that would be a gift to Hillary Clinton from Barack Obama? Well, you can just imagine that if things were going well with the collapse of ISIS in Mosul, we’d be hearing about it…Obama would certainly be doing a victory dance and spiking the ball in the end zone. Nope, nada, and we now know we have no carrier strikes going on in the Middle East — twice in the last two years for Obama.

Hey, but remember, Osama bin Laden is dead — as if that really means anything at this moment — the global Islamic jihad has grown exponentially.

I said it before, and let me reiterate it again. All the Clintons did was steal the White House china upon departure, knowing their chosen successor, Al Gore, had lost. The Obamas are doing something far more heinous and nefarious: they are destroying our country before departing. And Obama will remain in DC, for what? I suppose he wants to ensure, like any good arsonist, that he can watch the fire burn. I wonder if Obama can play the violin?

JOHN Chapter 18

When He had finished praying,

Jesus left with His Disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley.

On the other side there was and olive grove,

And He and His Disciples went into it.

2 Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place,

Because Jesus had often met there with His Disciples.

3 So Judas came to the grove,

Guiding a detachment of soldiers

And some officials from the Chief Priests and Pharisees.

They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons.

4 Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to Him,

Went out and asked them, 'Who is it you want?'

5 'Jesus of Nazareth,' they replied.

'I am He,' Jesus said.

(And Judas the Traitor was standing there with them.)

6 When Jesus said, 'I am He,' they drew back and fell to the ground.

7 Again He asked them, 'Who is it you want?'

And they said, 'Jesus of Nazareth.'

8 'I told you I am He.' Jesus answered.

'If you are looking for Me, then let these men go.'

9 This happened so that the words He had spoken would be fulfilled:

'I have not lost one of those You gave Me.'

10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword,

Drew it and struck the High Priest's servant,

Cutting off his right ear. (The servants name was Malchus.)

11 Jesus commanded Peter, 'Put you sword away!

Shall I not drink the Cup the Father has given Me?'

Jesus Taken To Annas

12 Then the detachment of soldiers

With its commander and the Jewish officials arrested Jesus.

13 They bond Him and brought Him first to Annas,

Who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the High Priest that year.

14 Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews

That it would be good if one man died for the people.

Peter's First Denial

15 Simon Peter and another Disciple were following Jesus.

Because this Disciple was know to the High Priest,

He went with Jesus into the High Priest's courtyard,

16 But Peter had to wait outside at the door.

The other Disciple, who was known to the High Priest,

Came back, spoke to the girl on duty there and brought Peter in.

17 Surely you are not another of this man's Disciples?'

The girl at the door asked Peter.

He replied, 'I am not.'

18 It was cold, and the servants and officials

Stood around a fire they had made to keep warm.

Peter also was standing with them, warming himself.

The High Priest Questions Jesus

19 Meanwhile, the High Priest questioned Jesus

About His Disciples and His Teaching.

20 'I have spoken openly to the World.' Jesus replied.

'I always taught in Synagogues or at the Temple,

Where all the Jews come together.

I said nothing in Secret.

21 Why question Me? Ask those who heard Me.

Surely they know what I said.'

22 When Jesus said this,

One of the officials nearby struck Him in the face.

'Is that any way to answer the High Priest?' He demanded.

23 'If I said something wrong,' Jesus replied,

'Testify to what is wrong.

But if I spoke the Truth why did you strike Me?'

24 Then Annas sent Him, still bound, to Caiaphas the High Priest.

Peter's Second and Third Denials

25 As Simon Peter stood warming himself, he was asked,

'Surely you are not another of His Disciples?'

He denied it, saying, 'I am not.'

26 One of the High Priest's servants,

A relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, challenged him,

'Didn't I see you with Him in the olive grove?'

27 Again Peter denied it,

And at that moment a rooster began to crow.

Jesus Before Pilate

28 Then the Jews led Jesus from Caiaphas

To the Palace of the Roman Governor.

By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness

The Jews did not enter the Palace;

They wanted to be able to eat the Passover.

29 So Pilate came out the them and asked,

'What Charges are you bringing against this man?'

30 'If He were not a Criminal,' they replied,

'We would not have handed Him over to you.'

31 Pilate said, 'Take Him yourselves and judge Him by your own law.'

'But we have no right to Execute anyone,' the Jews objected.

32 This happened so that the words Jesus had spoken

Indicating the kind of death He was going to die would be fulfilled.

33 Pilate then went back inside the Palace,

Summoned Jesus and asked him,

'ARE YOU THE KING OF THE JEWS?'

34 'Is that your own idea,' Jesus asked,

'Or did others talk to you about Me.?'

35 'Do You think I am a Jew?' Pilate replied.

'It was Your people and Your Chief Priests who handed You over to me.

What is it You have done?'

36 JESUS SAID, 'MY KINGDOM IF NOT OF THIS WORLD.

IF IT WERE, MY SERVANTS WOULD FIGHT TO PREVENT

MY ARREST BY THE JEWS.

BUT NO MY KINGDOM IS FORM ANOTHER PLACE.'

37 'You are a King, then!' said Pilate.

JESUS ANSWERED, 'YOU ARE RIGHT IN SAYING I AM A KING.

IN FACT, FOR THAT REASON I WAS BORN,

AND FOR THIS I CAME INTO THE WORLD,

TO TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH.

EVERYONE ON THE SIDE OF THE TRUTH LISTENS TO ME.'

'WHAT IS TRUTH?' Pilate asked.

With this he went out again to the Jews and said,

'I FIND NO BASIS FOR A CHARGE AGAINST HIM.

39 But it is your custom for me to release to you one prisoner

At the time of the Passover.

Do you want me to release 'the King of the Jews?'

40 They shouted back, 'No, not Him! Give us Barabbas!'

Now Barabbas had taken part in a rebellion.

So, today, those on the side of the Truth listen to Jesus.

All the rest are Blinded by the “god” of this Age,

And go with him to the place prepared for him by God,

With every new year comes new hope for people – new aspirations, resolutions, goals, optimism about the future.

As 2017 nears, this new year promises to be a watershed moment for Americans eager for political change.

But the real hope for the future of America and the world is not in politics. It’s in the spiritual realm. It’s always been that way. It will always be that way. The Scriptures assure us:

• Psalm 31:24: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
• Psalm 33:18: Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
• Psalm 33:22: Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
• Psalm 39:7: And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.
• Jeremiah 17:7: Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
• Joel 3:16: The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
• Romans 15:4: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
• Titus 2:13: Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

For the last several years, I have been working on a book – just now nearing widespread release – that is all about this great spiritual hope that all believers should have. What I found during my course of study was that most believers simply don’t understand precisely what that hope is and what it means to them.

One day it hit me like a thunderbolt. There it was in Acts 3. I had read the relevant verses hundreds of times before, but suddenly there was crystal clarity.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

I believe there’s a longing in all of us, especially believers, for this “refreshing” Peter mentions. I believe there’s a longing in our spirit for justice, peace, righteousness and the “restitution of all things.” But, I believe, many Christians are ignorant of this time of hope – what it means and what it will look like.

That’s what I have attempted to portray in “The Restitution of All Things,” a different kind of prophetic book that looks ahead to that great hope in the Coming Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.
