Heaven Is Our Destination Where We Will Be ONE With The Lord Forever

Today, we are in The Season Of The Last Generation. The Birth Pains that Christ Jesus spoke about are currently under way, including natural and unnatural disasters. They will be ever increasing. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. Social, economic and political turmoil will be ever increasing, causing people's hearts to be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life. An apostasy within the Church of God is currently under way. This will all reach a climax with Satan revealing his Antichrist and requiring that everyone worship him; That every one receive his "mark" in order to buy or sell; The new currency of the New World Order, the New Tower of Babel.

Today, it is critical that those who have a heart for God are aware of what God is doing and speaking today. God is opening up His Word like never before in preparation for The Time Of The END. I exhort you to open up your heart and your eyes to see what He is doing and your ears to hear what God is speaking at this time. My prayer is that we will be able to stand before the Son of Man at His appearing, without fault and with great joy. I encourage you to read David Wilkerson's book, America's Last Call at davidwilkersontoday.blogspot.com. Also, Google, Tommy Hicks Prophecy, 1961 for a view of the End Times.

IS THE AMERICAN CHURCH ABOUT TO DIE OFF?

Despite some indications, this is just the beautiful beginning for the American church. (Photo by Carolina Jacomin on Unsplash)
Is this the beginning or the end of the church in America? Is the church in America in decline?
Yes, for sure.
Most days, my inbox includes at least one post or blog about the American church. In many parts of America, people are attending services less or unplugging from church altogether.
This is certainly a story.
The greatest stories have beautiful endings. The greatest storyteller of all times is Jesus. His story and His church will end with victory, power, beauty and glory.
Is the church finished? Absolutely not.
U.S. church membership was 70% or higher from 1937 through 1976, falling modestly to an average of 68% in the 1970s through the 1990s.
The past 20 years have seen an acceleration in the drop-off, with a 20-percentage-point decline since 1999 and more than half of that change occurring since the start of the current decade.
In 1998 through 2000, 1 in 10 Americans with no religious preference said they belonged to a church, as did an average of 7% in the past three years.

In 20 short years, we have seen a 20% decline in church attendance. These numbers are shocking and true.
Does the mission of the church change because fewer people are attending? No.
God will just do His work with fewer people.
"Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, 'Come, and let us cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. Perhaps the Lord will work for us. For the Lord is not limited to save by many or by few'" (1 Sam. 14:6).
God completes His work with few or with many. God using fewer people does not change the Scripture or the mission of the church.
A lack of attendance never changes the plan of God.
The Church Has a Mission
A missional perspective teaches that the church has a mission because Jesus had a mission.
Here is an excerpt from gotquestions.org:
What does it mean to be missional? "Missional" or "missional living" is a Christian term that, in essence, describes a missionary lifestyle. Being missional includes embracing the posture, the thinking, behaviors and practices of a missionary in order to reach others with the message of the gospel. The term "missional" gained its popularity toward the end of the 20th century and is beginning to influence the American church on a wide scale.
One definition says that the "missional church is a community of God's people that defines itself, and organizes its life around, its real purpose of being an agent of God's mission to the world.
When the church is in mission, it is the true church."
Though many churches have mission statements or talk about the importance of having a mission, where missional churches differ is in their attitude toward the world:
A missional church sees the mission as both its originating impulse and its organizing principle.
It is patterned after what God has done in Jesus Christ; that is, to be missional means to be sent into the world — not to expect people to come to us.
This idea differentiates a missional church from an "attractional" church.
Many churches make the mistake of confusing "the church" as the mission of God, rather than knowing the church has a mission.
God created the mission first, and then He created the church to fulfill His mission.
The mission never changes, but the methods are always changing.
The mission of the church preceded any buildings or gatherings of believers. We can actually accomplish the mission of the church without buildings, hierarchy or religious activity.
God can fulfill His mission without buildings or hierarchy, but He has chosen to do it with and through His church.
Christians Are the Church
We have confused who and what the church is. The church is not a building, entity or organization. It is an organism made up of believers.
Our primary mission is not to attend church, though God commands us to gather and assemble. Driving to a church building is a method of attending church with other believers.
Buildings are where we gather, train and encourage one another. These were the methods Christ chose for us.
Here is an example of Jesus gathering and training His disciples:
And the disciples came and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them in parables?" He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore, I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
'Hearing you will hear and shall not understand. And seeing you will see and not perceive; for the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.' But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it" (Matt. 13:10-17, NKJV).
Training is a method of equipping believers to go to work and move through life being salt and light to our culture.
"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how shall it be made salty? It is from then on good for nothing but to be thrown out and to be trampled underfoot by men" (Matt. 5:13, MEV).
Salt preserves, heals and flavors. The church preserves our culture, heals wounds and flavors communities.
Training is a method to accomplish the mission. Our mission is to reach and encourage those who do not know Christ.
Could the reason people are not attending church be that God never intended for us to solely go to church but to be the church?
Is the church obsolete?
The organized church is experiencing a mass exodus of regular attenders. Are people losing faith or just dumping the church? We aren't sure.
The church will survive and even thrive.
Can we skip attending church services and still love Jesus? Yes. However, the Scripture commands us to gather in His name.
Church expert Carey Nieuwhof says:
I have to remind myself that, mostly, my desire to skip, pull away and do my own thing on my schedule isn't solitude; it's isolation. And while solitude is a gift from God, isolation is a tool of the enemy. And there's no faster way to render a community ineffective than to isolate its members.
Yes, the church is in transition. Transition is not a surprise to God and is not unusual with God or His people.
Remember when the children of Israel left Egypt? Transition.
They walked through the wilderness. Transition.
During transition, God is always out in front.
"Remember this, and show yourselves men; bring it to mind again, O transgressors. Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My good pleasure'" (Isa. 46:8-10).
Take notice that God finishes and then begins: "declaring the end from the beginning." God had a plan and then began. He finished the church, and then He started.
It's not the ugly end, but a beautiful beginning.

WHAT FELLOWSHIP HAS LIGHT WITH DARKLNESS?

2 Corinthians 6:14

October 31, 2019
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Devotional Thoughts

By Gary Wilkerson
You might wonder why you feel so dull in your spirit. Or why you don’t have power to witness as you would like. Or why your prayers seem so weak. It could possibly be because there is too much of the world, the residue of the flesh and carnality, functioning within you.
You may be listening to the wrong kind of music or watching unwholesome material on TV or online. And what about the people you associate with? Are they challenging you to be more like Jesus or are they carnal, pleasure-seeking companions who lead you away from him?
“Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord” (6:17).
Be separate from what? From fellowship with things that are not pure and holy, things that are untrue and unloving and cause divisions. Things that cause separation between you and others and diminish your faith and your love and your prayer life.
Actually, God may have already spoken to your heart about what some of those things are and he is saying, “Get rid of them. Take the time to remove those from your life. Be separate from them!” And when you do this, his Spirit will renew you. God’s grace will encompass you and enable you to declare that the defilements in you are a thing of the past. The defeat from the evil one that tries to diminish your faith, your strength, your power, is a thing of the past!
God is not asking us to step out of certain things because he is some kind of moral cop trying to make sure you do exactly as he says. No, it is because he is a father who loves you and delights in your goodness. And he delights in your living a glorious, precious, wonder-filled life.

Two Minutes to Midnight

LISTEN

“So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!”

—Luke 21:28

As we look at what is going on in the world today, we could say these events are signs of the times.
But someone else might say, “Oh, give me a break. I’ve heard that before. They’ve been saying forever that Jesus is coming, and nothing has really changed.”
Actually, a lot of things have changed.
And I believe we’re living in the last days.
Look at Russia’s aggression and their saber-rattling. We’ve heard provocative statements from President Putin about their nuclear capabilities and a willingness to use them. They’ve developed a new missile they say can hit any target they choose.
Next, there’s China’s emergence not only as an economic superpower, but also as a military superpower.
In addition to Russia and China, we have rogue nations like Iran and North Korea threatening the world. Then there’s the ongoing threat of Islamic terrorism. And there are all kinds of advances in technology that are not being used for good things.
Then there’s the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Maybe this is why a group of atomic scientists moved the famous Doomsday Clock forward in January, 2018.
Because of all these threats and new developments, they say it’s now two minutes to midnight.
And, by the way, that is the closest we’ve ever been.
What in the world is going on?
Are you ready for the answer?
We’re racing toward Armageddon.
We’re moving rapidly toward what the Bible calls the end of days or the last days. Jesus described it as labor pains.
So what are we supposed to do?
Jesus said,
“So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!” (Luke 21:28 NLT)
It means look to Heaven and be reminded of this: God is in control.

AN INCONVENIENT FIRE

A growing number of believers want to know God Himself—they want just Him.
They are not thinking about anything He can do for them.
They must know Him—more than oxygen, food and water—they must have God!
This fire awakens an ancient hunger—the hunger that possessed saints of old.
A.W. Tozer wrote, “Come near to the holy men and women of the past and you will soon feel the heat of their desire after God.
They mourned for Him, they prayed and wrestled and sought for Him day and night, in season and out, and when they had found Him the finding was all the sweeter for the long seeking.”
And those who already know Him want to know Him better.
Tozer continued, “Moses used the fact that he knew God as an argument for knowing Him better.
“Now, therefore, I pray Thee, if I have found grace in Thy sight, show me now Thy way, that I may know Thee, that I may find grace in Thy sight”; and from there he rose to make the daring request, “I beseech Thee, show me Thy glory.” (Exodus 33)
God was frankly pleased by this display of ardor, and the next day called Moses into the mount, and there in solemn procession made all His glory pass before him.”

But why would this inconvenient fire be the worst nightmare to masked Antifa thugs, tepid seeker-friendly churches, or false ministers?
Isn’t this fire pulling saints off the front lines into a full-time pursuit of God?
How can this be a threat?
It is the greatest threat!
NOTHING TERRIFIES SATAN MORE THAN A WIDESPREAD HUNGER TO KNOW GOD:
-It puts them into the place and condition that Jesus has yearned for His church to be.  They are in God’s presence. They are devoid of ideas, agendas, or blueprints.   Their intercession is no longer contaminated.  Prayer is no longer a booster rocket for pet projects.  They are becoming decentralized. They are self-emptying, that they might see God in all His beauty.
God has triumphed over their dead works.  By doing this, He kills the source of their anxiety, their cares, and inadequacies.   David Wilkerson said, “I had more ideas than any preacher in America. Ideas on how to evangelize. How to organize New Testament programs. The programs and ideas were successful enough to entrap me and keep me on the treadmill of busy-ness.
“But all along my heart yearned for more. I knew the blessing was not in building. Not in some well-planned scheme to reach the lost. Not in bigness, and not in activity. I discovered the hard way that the glory of God, the peace, and joy of the Spirit, was in being stripped down, emptied, and made totally weak.”
-They are suddenly alive to the real horror—their own fleshliness.
The issue is no longer the depravity of the culture, but their personal carnality.
This inconvenient fire struck Isaiah with such agony that he tossed aside his prayer for influence and power.
All he can cry is;
“Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” (Isaiah 6:5).
Isaiah is unmade, that he might be remade.
In the towering glory, you see the indescribable.
You see how victorious God is.
How inevitable His victory is!
You see Satan’s utter defeat.
You are transfixed by the wisdom that is now available—the resources at Gods’ disposal—the tactics He can use.
His mighty plan makes our plans microscopically puny.
God will declare to you what He said to Isaiah:
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.  “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8,9)
-Here’s what makes this fire so inconvenient:  It was simply not part of the plan.
-It was not in the plan for the lukewarm ‘convenient’ church to level off and be overruled by inconvenient fire.
Attraction-based churches fold when God Himself becomes the attraction.
-It was not in the plan for fake ministers to ever stop lying, stop prospering, or fooling the masses.
The light and heat of this fire will expose and topple them.
-It was not in the plan for left-wing God-haters to see their plan to eradicate Christianity from America neutralized by inconvenient fire.
This spreading flame—and the powerful vessels it creates—was simply not in the plan.
Thus a new vessel is about to emerge−a God-designed weapon.
An inconvenient sort of person is about to appear on the American stage.
A person who will own a passion you cannot stop, who will speak words you cannot counter, and perform miracles you cannot deny.
Join me in seeking this inconvenient fire!
