No sooner did I dissect the Democrats’ insistent refusal to name the enemy that destroyed the World Trade Center, attacked the Pentagon, slaughtered Americans in the streets of Boston, murdered Christmas party revelers in San Bernardino, massacred guests in an Orlando nightclub, etc., etc., etc., they did it again in a Senate hearing this week – more emphatically than ever.

“Radical Islam is no more accurate or appropriate a descriptor of the source of terrorist violence committed by Muslims than radical Christianity would be to describe the Ku Klux Klan, Army of God, or others,” testified Michael German, a fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice, at the “Willful Blindness” Senate Committee on the Judiciary hearing organized by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Even while Hillary Clinton has begun using such terms in her presidential bid, Senate Democrats and their handpicked “experts” doubled down to explain that the simple use of terms such as “Islam,” “Muslim” and “jihad” in national security discussions about the growing threat of ISIS is like referring to the Ku Klux Klan as “radical Christianity.”

It seems to be the new 2016 political talking point of Democrats – incidentally floated by the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim Brotherhood offshoot and unindicted terrorist finance co-conspirator, just days earlier.

Faqrhana Khera, president and executive director of the National Association of Muslim Lawyers and Muslim Advocates, attacked the description of ISIS or al-Qaida “as a problem of jihad or a problem of radical Islamic terrorism” as “grossly inaccurate,” adding: ISIS is “no different than the KKK or those who attack abortion clinics. 

We wouldn’t say there is a problem with radical Christianity or radical Christian terrorism. We call the threat what it is. It’s the KKK, those who are attacking women’s health clinics.”

Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin chimed in that the Klan’s symbol is “a flaming cross,” and “they believe somehow they were espousing the teachings of Jesus Christ.” Durbin also alluded to the Westboro Baptist Church, which “sends demonstrators to the funerals of our fallen soldiers and puts up these hateful signs that say this soldier died because of sodomy, because of gay marriage. 

Their homophobia, they believe, is part of their Christian belief. I think the point that has been made over and over by three members of this panel is it is a mistake for us to then call the Ku Klux Klan ‘radical Christians’ or Westboro Baptists ‘radical Christians.’ 

They are extreme, violent, unacceptable. It reflects on all of us who count ourselves as Christians if you use a term so broad in its application.”

Even while suggesting it would be wrong to equate the Klan or the Westboro Baptist Church as radical Christian organizations, of course, that is precisely what these Democrats did and continue to do.

It was classic moral relativism on display in what should be national security debate.

But here’s what none of those Democrats want to admit: If the Klan has anything in common with radical Islam, it is that both were excused, rationalized and even supported by Democrats.

What do I mean?

The Ku Klux Klan was the military arm of the Democratic Party. The sordid history is well-explained and well-documented in the excellent book, “Black Yellowdogs,” by Ben Kinchlow. It’s the shocking story of how the Klan not only systematically targeted black Americans in the Jim Crow South, but also Republican officials and candidates by the score.

After creating the Klan as a terrorist group to further its political objectives, sustaining it and supporting for decades, the Democrats began to abandon it only about 70 years ago. In fact, some of the 20th centuries most revered Democratic Party officials, like Sen. Robert Byrd, were high-ranking Klan wizards.

That raises the question of which group today serves as the military wing of the new Democratic Party.

Think about it.

Who serves the interests of the Democrats? Whom do Democrats now universally protect and provide cover for? Which new voting bloc supports Democrats by 90 percent? Which religious group is being imported into the U.S. in record numbers in “refugee” programs?

That’s right.

The Klan has been replaced as the military wing of the Democratic Party by “radical Islam.” And that’s why Democrats insist we not use that term. Just like the Klan, known officially as “the True Invisible Empire Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan,” required a degree of “invisibility” to do its work, so must terms like “radical Islam,” “radical jihadists” and “Islamic terrorists” never be uttered in public.

Day after DHS sec claimed ignorance of 'purge,' defended PC policy

One day after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson claimed he had no knowledge of his agency’s scrubbing of intelligence deemed offensive to Muslims, House Republican leaders introduced a bill that would force the DHS to recognize the source of terrorist activity, name the threat directly and take action against it.

The Washington Examiner reported House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said Friday the bill would be on the House floor next week.

“While the enemy’s tactics are evolving, the Obama administration’s strategy to defeat radical Islamist extremism is not,” Ryan said. “We have to step up our game. This counter-terrorism legislation provides new tools to protect our homeland, including a provision to prevent terrorists from buying guns.”

On Thursday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, confronted Johnson in a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee, pointing to a graphic documenting DHS’s elimination of Islamic terminology from its reports and citing the testimony of former Customs and Border Protection officer Philip Haney.

The scrubbing, exemplified also in the redaction of references to Islam and ISIS in the transcript of Orlando killer Omar Mateen’s 9-1-1 call, is a manifestation of the administration’s approach to terrorism. The policy, known as Counter Violent Extremism, presumes ISIS and other jihadist groups have nothing to do with Islam and regards that threat as just one among many.

Cruz posed to Johnson the testimony Haney gave Tuesday before a subcommittee he chairs that the administration “modified” or eliminated more than 800 of his records related to the Muslim Brotherhood network in the U.S. because they were an offense to Muslims.

“Was that testimony accurate?” Cruz asked Johnson on Thursday.

“I have no idea,” Johnson replied. “I don’t know who Mr. Haney is. I wouldn’t know him if he walked in the room.”

“So, you have not investigated whether your department ordered documents to be modified?” Cruz followed up.

“No, I have not taken the time to investigate what Mr. Haney says. No,” Johnson said.

What Haney witnessed in more than a dozen years as a founding member of the DHS is recounted in his new bestselling book, “See Something, Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government’s Submission to Jihad.”

The new bill was introduced by House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., who said that in the aftermath of the Orlando attack, “we must step up our efforts to combat the radicalization and recruitment of citizens by [ISIS].”

“The bill introduced today will provide more tools and resources to combat the spread of dangerous radical Islamist ideology and help our law enforcement agencies prevent future attacks on our soil,” he said, according to the Examiner.

The Examiner said McCarthy’s bill includes language from a bill from House Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul, R-Texas, that would require DHS to create an assistant secretary position to fight radical Islamic terrorism in the U.S.

It also includes a proposal from Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, that would revoke U.S. passports from members or supporters of a designated foreign terrorist organization.

In a compromise with Democrats who are pushing for tougher gun measures, the bill includes language from Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, R-Texas, that would allow the attorney general to delay the transfer of guns to people who are suspected terrorists, the Washington paper said. The government would have three days to make the case that a gun purchase should be delayed.

‘It makes no difference’

After Johnson on Thursday claimed ignorance of the scrubbing, Cruz then asked him if it would concern him if the testimony of his former employee, Haney, was accurate.

“Senator, I find this whole debate to be interesting, but I have to tell you,” Johnson replied, “when I was at the Department of Defense giving the legal sign-off on a lot of drone strikes, I didn’t particularly care whether the baseball card said Islamic extremist or violent extremist. I think this is very interesting, but it makes no difference to me in terms of who we need to go after, who is determined to attack our homeland.

Johnson insisted that “in practical terms, if we, in our efforts, here in the homeland, start giving the Islamic State the credence that they want, to be referred to as part of Islam, or some form of Islam, we get nowhere in our efforts to build bridges with Muslim communities.”

Cruz noted his question was whether or not information had been scrubbed.

“I would note the title of the hearing on Tuesday was ‘Willful Blindness,’ and your testimony to this full committee now is that you have no idea and apparently have no intention of finding out whether DHS materials had been scrubbed,” Cruz said.

“And you suggested just a moment ago that it’s a semantic difference,” the senator continued. “Well, I don’t believe it’s a semantic difference, that when you erase references to radical jihad, it impacts the behavior of law enforcement and national security to respond to red flags and prevent terrorist attacks before they occur.”

See Sen. Cruz question DHS Secretary Johnson:As WND reported Tuesday, a Senate Judiciary Committee subcommittee chaired by Cruz held a hearing titled “Willful Blindness: Consequences of Agency Efforts to Deemphasize Radical Islam in Combating Terrorism” in which Haney testified.

Cruz chastised his Democrat colleagues on the panel for showing no concern about Haney’s testimony.

“Apparently, the Orwellian censorship of law enforcement materials and intelligence materials is not a concern to my colleagues,” Cruz said.

“And at a time when we’re facing a global war on terror, I would hope that my colleagues on the Democratic side of the aisle will express real concern about a censorship and editing of law enforcement materials.”

Emphasizing his point about the administration’s propensity to scrub mention of Islam, Cruz pointed to the recent 9-1-1 transcript in which Orlando killer Omar Mateen’s declaration of allegiance to ISIS was redacted. The senator used a chart to illustrate the fact that the 9/11 report used the word “jihad” 126 times while there are zero occurrences of the word in more recent administration documents related to terrorism.

In his first opportunity to ask questions, Cruz told Haney his testimony before the committee is “exceptionally important.”

“I commend both members of the media and the American public to examine your testimony closely, because you have described a systematic policy, indeed of scrubbing, sanitizing, erasing references to radical Islam,” Cruz told the recently retired DHS officer.

In addition, Haney said, a highly successful case he helped develop as a member of one of the National Targeting Center’s advanced units was shut down by Hillary Clinton’s State Department and the DHS Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties out of concern for the “rights” of foreign Muslims. And after Haney retired honorably last year, he discovered that had his case continued, it might have prevented both the Orlando and the San Bernardino attacks.

Along with the quashing of the case in June 2012, the administration subsequently ordered the deletion of an additional 67 records concerning a related network.

Obama appointee: 'It creates a vehicle for state-sanctioned discrimination'

A federal judge appointed by President Obama has struck down a Mississippi law – hours before it was set to take effect Friday – that would have protected the religious freedom of clerks and businesses that refuse to participate in same-sex marriages.

In his 60-page ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Carlton Reeves stated that the law, known as the “Protecting Freedom of Conscience from Government Discrimination Act,” or H.B. 1523, is unconstitutional and would “diminish the rights of LGBT citizens.”

“The state has put its thumb on the scale to favor some religious beliefs over others,” Reeves said, according to CNN.

“HB 1523 does not advance the interest the State says it does,” he continued. “Under the guise of providing additional protection for religious exercise, it creates a vehicle for state-sanctioned discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. It’s not rationally related to a legitimate end.”

Reeves also wrote: “Religious freedom was one of the building blocks of this great nation, and after the nation was torn apart, the guarantee of equal protection under law was used to stitch it back together. But HB 1523 does not honor that tradition of religion freedom, nor does it respect the equal dignity of all of Mississippi’s citizens. It must be enjoined.”

State attorneys plan to appeal Reeves’ ruling, according to the Associated Press.

Reeve’s decision comes less than two years after he struck down the state’s statutory and constitutional bans on same-sex marriage.

In a statement to the press, Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant said he’s “disappointed” and anticipates “an aggressive appeal.”

“Like I said when I signed House Bill 1523, the law simply provides religious accommodations granted by many other states and federal law,” Bryant said. “I am disappointed Judge Reeves did not recognize that reality. I look forward to an aggressive appeal.”

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, also vehemently objected to Reeves’ decision.

“While Judge Reeves issued his decree under the cloak of darkness last night, the judge’s religious animus against the people of Mississippi is clear as day,” said Perkins, according to Jackson’s Clarion-Ledger. “Under this judge’s reasoning, any narrowly tailored conscience or religious freedom protections against government persecution would be invalid.”

Reeves’ reputation for anti-faith rulings 

As WND reported, Judge Carlton Reeves, who was nominated by Obama in 2010, once punished a school district for allowing a voluntary prayer at an optional awards ceremony.

Judge Reeves has established a reputation for going for the jugular when an issue of faith is at play.

He first ruled that a Mississippi school student’s rights were violated because she was offended by a prayer at a public school event.

Then he reached off campus, fining the school $7,500, for allowing a pastor to prayer at an optional awards ceremony.

The judge determined that Rankin County schools must work harder to excise Christian faith from its students’ education, and he threatened the district with a $10,000 fine if it happens again.

It was the ruling by Reeves regarding the school that later created a stir in Mississippi.

His decision resulted in the school’s band being benched from a halftime show at a football game, because as part of their musical presentation, they included the melody from “How Great Thou Art.” Columnist Todd Starnes at Fox News said the judge may issue an order, but the people may not necessarily bend to his whim.

He reported the people decided “a message had to be sent to the likes of Judge Reeves.”

“And what they did – would become known as the musical shot heard around the world. During halftime of Friday night’s game – a lone voice began to sing the forbidden song. ‘Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee,’ the singer sang. Brittany Mann was there and she witnessed the entire moment of defiance,” Starnes wrote.

“We were just sitting there and then one by one people started to stand,” she told Starnes. “At first, it started out as a hum but the sound got louder and louder.”

Soon “hundreds” were singing.

“At that moment I was so proud of my town – coming together and taking a stand for something we believe in,” she told Starnes. “It breaks my heart o see where our country is going – getting farther and farther away from the Christian beliefs that our country was founded on.”

Documentation of hate against Christians

WND previously has documented the Big List of cases where there have been government rulings that removed religious rights from Christians.

Missouri State University, for example, dismissed a student from a counseling program for expressing opposition to counseling same-sex duos.

In Iowa, Gortz Haus Gallery and bistro owners Betty and Richard Odgaard were sued by a homosexual duo.

In Texas, David and Edie Delmore, who own a bakery, were approached by Ben Valencia and Luis Marmolejo about a cake for a “gay wedding.” They declined, referring the potential customers to other bakers. Subsequently, they claim their home has been vandalized and their son has been threatened with rape by a broken beer bottle.

One business even was attacked for answering a hypothetical question on the issue.

Family owned Memories Pizza in Indiana came into the crosshairs of homosexuals when an owner was interviewed by a local TV station in the aftermath of the adoption of the state’s religious freedom law. Responding to a reporter’s question, the owner said that while her restaurant serves “gays,” her Christian faith wouldn’t allow her to cater a “gay wedding.” The restaurant immediately became a focal point of outrage toward the law, with threats of death and destruction, causing the owners to shut down their business.

Appearing this week on CBN News, former Department of Homeland Security officer Philip Haney gave an insider’s perspective on the Obama administration’s dedication to avoiding offending Muslims at the expense of national security.

Haney, who details his experience as a whistleblower in his new book “See Something, Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government’s Submission to Jihad,” came to the realization in 2009 when his superiors made an odd request regarding valuable information he had gathered and entered into the DHS electronic database.

“They told me, we want you to eliminate – the word was ‘modify’ – all the linking information in about 850 records that I put into the system on guess what group? The Muslim Brotherhood,” Haney told CBN’s Jennifer Wishon.

Haney said the Obama administration did not wish to investigate Muslim Brotherhood members as terrorists because it relied on the Brotherhood and other Muslim groups with ties to terrorism to help form U.S. counter-terrorism policy.

Three years later, in 2012, the administration purged all 67 of Haney’s records dealing with Muslims associated with a movement known as Tablighi Jamaat.

“This time they didn’t just modify the information in the records; they completely eliminated them out of the system, erased them forever,” Haney explained. “And then they investigated me for putting that information into the system when that was exactly the job that I was supposed to be doing.”

This pattern continued after the recent terror attack in Orlando, when the Justice Department initially redacted all of shooter Omar Mateen’s references to Islam and ISIS from a transcript of his 9-1-1 call. In fact, Haney discovered immediately after the shooting that the Fort Pierce, Florida, mosque Mateen attended had ties to the Tablighi Jamaat case that the Obama/Clinton State Department shut down in 2012. If Haney’s information had not been eliminated, the Orlando massacre might have been prevented.

“I can’t explain to you the ideology or the worldview of this administration that makes them so adamant to protect Islam from harm by addressing it in its true nature,” Haney said.

Islam, he noted, is not just a religion, but a system of laws – Shariah – that Muslims who adhere to fundamental teaching wish to establish over all the world.

“The power of Shariah is very difficult to exaggerate how much influence it has on the lives of Muslims around the world,” the whistleblower warned.

In fact, Haney believes America is presently locked in a battle between the U.S. Constitution and Shariah law.

“Are we going to submit to the influence of Shariah law and make it legal for one particular religion to have more than one wife?” he asked. “Or are we going to say, ‘No, you cannot implement those provisions as long as you want to be a citizen of United States’?”

The answer, according to Haney, is for Americans to become more familiar with the Constitution.

“If you become more familiar with the Constitution, you’ll be able to see more clearly the points of conflict between the U.S. Constitution and Shariah law, and then you can discuss it without fear of being called a racist or a bigot or an Islamophobe,” he advised.

Haney, who testified before a Senate subcommittee Tuesday, told CBN’s audience his Christian faith has helped him get through his long ordeal. In fact, only faith in God could help him overcome the dark forces he has faced.

“We’re talking about very, very high-level, malevolent kind of forces here at work, and it is very sobering to see these kinds of things operating,” he said. “These are biblical-level events that we’re talking about.”

My comments: As Christians we should understand that Satan Rules the godless [1 John 5:19]. Satan could give America or any other Nation on Earth to whomever he wished [Luke 4:6]. Obama, Hillary, the Democrats and all the godless, are simply Puppets of Satan. In the End, this Reality is Demonstrated in that the Whole World worships Satan as their "god." (Revelation 13)
