THE LEFT'S FIGHT AGAINST CHRISTIAN COUNSELORS

At a recent convention for Christian counselors, I sat next to a counselor who had been mercilessly harassed during her doctoral studies by a university faculty member for simply having attended Christian schools.

This sort of discrimination against Christians and religious adherents (especially counselors) at the hands of the rage-driven LGBTQ mafia is becoming all too common.

And if HR 15, the erroneously named “Equality Act” passes, these punitive attacks on the religious faithful will become the law of the land.

Read on to learn more about our latest case making its way to the U.S. Supreme Court, and the outrageous bill that seeks to eliminate religious freedom.

Friend,

Last week at a convention for Christian mental health counselors, I met Grace*.

During doctoral studies, Grace sent her proposal to the dissertation committee and was told by the Chair that her dissertation topic should be approved within two weeks, after which she could begin writing.

But the two weeks came and went without a word.

Grace learned that one of the pro-LGBTQ faculty members would not allow her research to continue.

This faculty member demanded Grace see the student counselor — in other words, be reeducated on LGBTQ values (which had nothing to do with her topic).

To see for himself, the student counselor sat in on a committee meeting. He then advised Grace she did nothing wrong but said the faculty member would never approve her dissertation.

Grace paused her education to deal with the stress.

After realizing this school’s pipeline for doctoral students was guarded by radical LGBTQ faculty members who despised Christians, she finished her studies elsewhere.

Grace’s dissertation topic shouldn’t have been controversial.

She sought to study whether Christians and other people of faith were being censored in the academic community.

When one of the committee members asked Grace how this dissertation would affect the LGBTQ community, Grace answered, “My dissertation does not discuss LGBTQ at all.”

Grace personally experienced the blatant anti-Christian discrimination she had sought to study.

She became an example of her own studies.

STOP the assault on Christians.

In December of 2015, David Ermold and David Moore decided to target Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis because of her faith.

The two Davids could have gotten married at any one of the seven counties surrounding Rowan County, KY, all of which were issuing marriage licenses.

When the men heard that a soft-spoken Christian woman was refusing to issue any marriage licenses at all while she waited for approval of her religious accommodation request, they grabbed their cell phones and headed to Kim’s office, hoping to shame her and post their videos to social media.

Their first video went viral, so the men traveled four more times to Kim’s office, each time harassing and ridiculing her Christian faith.

They also refused to get their marriage license anywhere else. Instead, the two men demanded Kim violate the principles of her faith.

Kim eventually won her right to religious accommodation, and in doing so, also won religious accommodation for ALL Kentucky officials.

But the two Davids were not content. Eight years later, these men still seek a pound of Kim’s flesh.

Last week, two juries considered the same evidence.

One returned a verdict, in 45 minutes, of zero damages for the plaintiffs, and the other returned a verdict of 100,000 dollars for the two Davids.

The two Davids and the LGBTQ mafia that continues to target Christians for their faith had a temporary win, but Liberty Counsel is appealing this case to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and, God willing, all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

We intend to fight for religious freedom, overturn the wrongful judgment against Kim, and overturn the activist High Court decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, which was wrongfully decided in 2015.

Support our next Supreme Court case.

We need YOUR help to continue fighting for religious freedom — not just for Kim, but also for the hundreds of other plaintiffs we represent. Liberty Counsel never charges for our legal work. But the LGBTQ lobby isn’t content to simply sue people into compliance with their agenda. They are pressuring Congress to eliminate religious freedom entirely via HR 15.

This bill specifically revokes the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and would impact the religious exemption rights Kim Davis fought so hard to win for Kentuckians. If this happens, NO ONE will be safe from the LGBTQ.

Under HR 15, refusal to accept and promote the LGBTQ agenda will be considered discrimination, punishable by the U.S. Department of Justice … and people like the two Davids will be able to sue Christians and other religious faithful for simply adhering to the tenants of their faith.

The LGBTQ lobby needs only six more members of the U.S. House to pass this awful, religious-liberty-stealing legislation. We must FLOOD Congress with our demands that they VOTE NO on HR 15.
