Poll: 65% of Liberals Say Mob Violence Is ‘Legitimate Outrage,’ 45% Expect It to Improve Criminal Justice

Nearly two-thirds of the nation’s self-described liberal voters believe the mob violence ravaging U.S. cities is “primarily legitimate outrage” instead of the work of criminals, a new Rasmussen Reports survey finds.

In a survey of 1,000 likely U.S. likely voters conducted July 29-30, 2020, Rasmussen asked:

“Is the mob violence that has continued for weeks in several major cities primarily legitimate outrage over the police or mostly criminals taking advantage of the situation?”
