Jesus is Our Cure
Tricia Draper
"He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed." (1 Peter 2:24 NIV)
Jesus came to bear all our diseases on the cross.
He said, "It is finished," and meant everything, from our sins to our sicknesses.
Our Father is not the cause of our illness; it would go against His Word.
We live in a fallen and dying world, and our still fallen flesh is susceptible to disease.
I have great news, though, when we find ourselves sick, we can always turn to Jesus and believe He desires to see us healed.
It's important to remember that our healing may occur in different forms, so be sensitive to the Spirits guidance.
God gave doctors and scientists the wisdom to discover the cure for many ailments, and we may need there help.
Or we may be healed instantly or over time.
We are on God's timetable, but we can stand on the truth of the scriptures, and by faith, confess our healing, no matter our circumstances.
It is not wrong to ask others for help, but remember to come to God first.
He knows the end from the beginning, what is wrong with us before anyone else does.
Come to Him with an open heart in steadfast faith in His desire and ability to heal you.
Our faith pleases God, and He can be trusted to set us free from our illness, in His way and timing.
Lord, I thank You for healing me. I know Your Word is true, and I believe and accept my healing right now. In Jesus Name, Amen!
