CHRISTIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS UNDER ATTACK BY ATHEISTS

Team not ashamed of the Gospel
Thursday, June 27, 2019
Dear Friend.
An atheist group is whining because 18 high school football players proclaimed their faith in Jesus and exercised their First Amendment right to express that faith on public property.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) is calling for a penalty flag because players from the Washington County High School football team chose to get baptized near the school's football field.
According to FoxNews.com, one by one, the players walked into a feeding trough filled with water from a garden hose, as a pastor baptized them "in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit," all caught on camera by a staff member of Chatom Baptist Church.
FFRF quickly fired off one of their usual hyperbolic letters, demanding the school investigate what it personally deemed "illegal religious events" and to take action against coaches and school staff.
Jeremy Dys, deputy general counsel for First Liberty Institute, a religious liberty law firm, told Fox News the FFRF's "shaming high school kids...is pathetic and needs to stop."
We agree.
TAKE ACTION
I applaud these young people for their bold stand and public profession of faith in Christ through believer’s baptism. It's refreshing to see it on a grand scale such as this.
