School Forces Students to Watch Pro-LGBT Videos For four days last April students at a Emmaus High School in Pennsylvania were forced to watch videos selected by the “student-led” Gay-Straight Alliance. The videos ranged from “9 Questions Gay People Have About Straight People” to a compilation of clips celebrating “marriage equality.” There was also a video educating students about gender fluidity – the idea there is no such thing as male or female. “My son expressed to me that he felt bullied by the administration for being a heterosexual man and being forced to listen to LGBT advocacy on a daily basis,” one parent wrote in a letter to the school district. The East Penn School District claimed the videos, shown during daily announcements, were about anti-bullying and the LGBT movement. But parents argue it was more about indoctrination. Football Coach Fired for Taking Knee --- to Pray First Liberty Institute attorney Michael Berry said Bremerton High School in Washington State picked on the wrong Marine. First Liberty is representing Joe Kennedy, a Marine and former assistant football coach at the local high school. Kennedy was fired in 2015 after he took a knee to pray after a football game. “The (district told him) if you talk to God you’re fired,” Berry said on the Todd Starnes Radio Show. Since 2008 Kennedy had quietly taken a knee after every football game to honor a covenant he made with God. “That prayer would be by itself, silent or very quiet, and no more than 15 or 30 seconds,” Berry said. “That happened for seven years without a single complaint or issue, but as we all know, no good deed goes unpunished.” Continue reading on ToddStarnes.com. Oregon Supreme Court: Christian Bakers Must Participate in  Gay Weddings The Oregon Supreme Court refused to review the case of a mom-and-pop bakery that was punished for refusing to participate in a same-sex wedding ceremony. Aaron and Melissa Klein, the owners of Sweetcakes by Melissa, were ordered to pay a lesbian couple $135,000 for violating a state law regarding sexual orientation and gender identity. The Oregon Court of Appeals upheld the $135,000 order and the state Supreme Court declined to review the case. In 2013 the Kleins, who are devout Christians, declined to make a wedding cake for Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer.
