When VOM staff meet with persecuted Christians, the first request they receive is for prayer. Persecuted believers understand that prayer is central to bringing the gospel to those hostile to Christ. One bold brother from Myanmar (Burma) recently told us how important our prayers had been to him: “There was a time when my wife and I were so much discouraged by facing such persecution,” he said. “But when we came to know that believers around the world are standing with us, we were encouraged and grew in our faith in Jesus Christ.”
