HOW STEVE McQUEEN CAME TO CHRIST

Hi Friend,
As you know, this past year I’ve been busy producing both a book and a film about actor Steve McQueen. Some might ask why—what makes Steve’s story worth telling?
There has never been a guy quite like him. McQueen had everything this world has to offer. He had incredible fame, unlimited resources, a cool car collection, women throwing themselves at him. He had it all.
And then one day he was just so sick of it that he walked away from Hollywood and moved to a little town called Santa Paula. There he tried to live a quieter life and he continued to wonder about his purpose and the meaning of life. Steve had already seen the emptiness and futility of all that this world has to offer and he was on a search.
As God would have it, Sammy Mason was a strong Christian who came into Steve’s life at just the right moment. Steve found a father figure in Sammy, who ultimately helped introduce him to his Father in Heaven.
It was about six months after Steve came to faith in Christ that he found out he had cancer. It was that faith that carried him through the most difficult chapter of his life. All of this has been captured in the film, like capturing lightning in a bottle.
Steve’s story is a bridge to the greatest story ever told—the story of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
That’s why I’ve created this film. It’s my hope and prayer that it will be the most effective evangelistic tool that we have ever created. We’re offering it to you on DVD in thanks for your ministry donation this month.
I’m praying that you will get a copy and show it to your friends and family who don’t know Jesus—and that it will be a launching place to talk about spiritual things and share your faith. Will you get a copy and put it to use?
You can get the DVD by going to this link: harvest.org/campaign
As always, your donation will be used to create and share innovative spiritual resources like this film in order to get the message of God’s salvation to the world.
In Christ,
Greg
