Obama Returning To Politics This Fall, Will Hold Summit To ‘Change The World’
“We want to inspire and empower people to change the world.”
Former President Barack Obama announced Wednesday that his organization will host the first-ever Obama Foundation Summit this fall.
The summit is meant to bring together leaders from around the world and cultivate change.
“When I left office in January, I asked of you the same thing I asked of you way back in 2008: I asked you to believe not in my ability to bring about change, but in yours,” Obama says at beginning of his announcement video. “This October, we’re bringing together hundreds of leaders from all around the world for hands-on exchange in my hometown.”
The two-day event will be held in Chicago at the site of the future Obama presidential center.
Former first lady Michelle Obama also shared news of the summit via Instagram.
