STUNNING OPPORTUNITY! TRIP OF A LIFETIME TO … THE ARK

Biblical Encounter site, WND team up for contest for all- expenses-paid vacation

It’s a marvel straight out of the pages of Scripture. It’s been called the eighth wonder of the world. And now there’s an opportunity for an all-expenses paid trip to the astonishing Ark Encounter, a life-size replica of Noah’s Ark.
The Ark Encounter, a project of the Christian apologetics group Answers in Genesis, is 510 feet long, 85 feet wide and stands an astounding 51 feet high. But it’s not just an Ark – the Encounter is a full-scale attraction featuring a host of jaw-dropping exhibits, including animatronic characters, educational displays and live animals. Huge crowds have visited the Ark Encounter since it opened in July, dwarfing even the most optimistic projections.

Now Answers in Genesis, in partnership with WND, is sponsoring a contest for an all-expenses-paid trip not just to the Ark Encounter, but to its sister attraction, the Creation Museum, a cutting-edge educational establishment that defends the biblical and scientific truth of creation account in Genesis.
The winner will receive two tickets to both the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum, complete with special VIP benefits. Airfare, a rental car and hotel accommodations for four nights are also provided. The Ark Encounter is located in Williamstown, Kentucky, less than an hour’s drive from the Creation Museum in Petersburg, making visiting both exhibitions a snap. The winner will even receive a $30 gift certificate for Emzara’s Kitchen at the Ark Encounter and a $50 gift certificate for Noah’s Café at the Creation Museum.
The founder and president of Answers in Genesis, Ken Ham, said he was pleased to work with WND.
“We want to get out the word about the very popular world-class Ark Encounter, which in four months has drawn almost 450,000 guests,” he said. “Through the national media, we want to keep the publicity momentum going and let more people become aware of what many visitors are calling ‘the eighth wonder of the world.'”

Ham said there is no sign of momentum slowing for the blockbuster exhibit.
“Attendance continues to be tremendous,” he said. “Motor coach bookings have been higher than expected for the fall as many groups make their way here. On some days this fall, summer-like numbers of 6,000 or more visitors have toured the Ark, typically on a Saturday. Because the Ark opened in July, we missed several weeks of the vacation season, and so for the second year, indications are that we will see even higher attendance at the Ark than year one. Motor coach bookings are already very strong for next spring.
“Interestingly, by the end of September and in just under three months, the Ark Encounter had already exceeded the attendance figure that was estimated in a study conducted for the state of Kentucky to predict the Ark’s first-year attendance: 325,000 visitors. Our commissioned research, however, had a much higher attendance estimate of a minimum of 1.4 million people in year one and up to over 2 million. Right now, the 1.4 million mark should be easily exceeded before the end of our first year that ends in July 2017, for we should see another big bump in attendance in May and June as the summer vacation season ramps up. Best of all, with the huge number of guests, we are creating ‘raving fans’ and their word of mouth promotion has been substantial.”

Yet this is only the beginning.
“We are now building an outdoor village near the Ark, to open by spring, and expanding the popular zoo and petting zoo behind the massive ship,” Ham told WND. “In addition, we have just completed adding two open-style theaters on the second and third decks of the Ark, where visitors will watch captivating Bible-proclaiming movies. For our bigger future projects, like a large multi-purpose theater and a spectacular walled city, we are now raising the funds. The walled city, part of phase two of the park’s expansion, will be an incredible attraction in its own right and may be just as impressive as the 510-foot-long Ark. Phase three will be the construction of a Tower of Babel. Other phases are being planned.”
The Ark has also sparked an economic boom in the region.
“Many local businesses, especially in Dry Ridge just to the north of us, are extremely happy with all the tourism being brought to the region,” Ham enthused. “About 95 percent of our guests are coming from outside our tri-state area of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Restaurants and hotels at exit 156 off I-75 are especially booming. We recently received an email from a Williamstown business that stated: ‘We can’t thank you enough for all the help you have given us.’ Many other businesses have told us they have seen a significant increase in patrons because of the Ark.”
Gradually, Answers in Genesis is building one of the most all-encompassing and extraordinary vacation destinations for families in the nation. And Ham promises there is even more to come.
“With new phases to be added to the Ark Encounter over the next few years, attendance will be even higher and Grant County will be welcoming more tourists who will take advantage of the services offered in the county,” he said. “We just need more hotels to handle the Ark crowds. In fact, around 7,500 guests is the maximum number of people per day we seem to be seeing at the Ark, and it’s not because the Ark is not large enough. We can handle many more people. It’s just that there are not enough hotel beds in the region for people who want to visit the Ark. There’s no doubt the Ark, and its sister attraction the Creation Museum 45 minutes away, have become some of the leading themed attractions in the world.”
Now, two lucky WND readers will have the opportunity to see these modern-day marvels for themselves. And though thousands of guests rave the experience is priceless, it won’t cost the winners a dime.
