“Hanen Out” Justice – Judge Andrew Hanen Orders Imperial “President” To Explain Why DOJ Lied To Him
Judge Andrew Hanen apparently isn’t impressed by an illegal alien “president” who has declared himself to be above the law and above the Congress in defiance of the Constitution.
Rather than finding an excuse to acquiesce, as every one of his predecessors has done in cases involving our would-be king, Judge Hanen wants answers related to new lawbreaking on behalf of the executive branch and he’s giving them a week to come up with some.
On Monday Judge Hanen ordered lawyers for the federal government to appear in his courtroom in Brownsville, TX on March 19th to explain why the Department of Homeland “Security” had extended the period of their illegal deportation reprieve and work permit process under DACA from two years to three.
Not only did DHS and the Department of Justice fail to inform the judge and the rest of America of the change in implementation and the time extension, they actually lied in their arguments, asserting to the Judge that no changes of any kind would be implemented until February 18th.
Approximately 100,000 illegals were provided with deportation deferments and three year work permits, in violation of federal law and in direct conflict with the assertions of the Justice Department in court.
The Justice Department has appealed Judge Hanen’s injunction against the Obama illegal amnesty and has attempted to pressure him into a speedy decision. In their appeal they presented the Judge with a timetable for action which included plans to appeal to the 5th circuit court if he failed to act to their satisfaction within what they deemed to be a timely manner.
Judge Hanen is not following their dictated terms and is instead ordering them into his court to explain their actions. He has also informed them that no other actions will be forthcoming until after the March 19th hearing.
Judges don’t like being lied to and it can have a negative impact on their future rulings. It appears that the Obama administration’s reflexive, deep-rooted aversion to the truth may be starting to have consequences.
America’s dictator and his Marxist minions are not above the law. If they need to be reminded of that fact, they seem to have found the man for the job in Judge Andrew Hanen.
