Stop Obama's And the IRS Attempt To Silence Conservative Groups

Road to Majority

Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana is confirmed to speak at the 2014 Road to Majority Policy Conference!  Since being sworn in on January 14, 2008, Governor Jindal has addressed ethics reform, eliminated burdensome taxes, and put forth detailed plans for reforming health care, education and transportation.  Gov. Jindal will be the keynote speaker at the Patriot Gala Banquet on Saturday night.  During the Gala, we will be honoring the legendary conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly and presenting her with the Winston Churchill Lifetime Achievement Award.  In 2013, this inaugural award was presented to Pat Robertson.

FFC Campaign To Stop IRS Abuse Has Major Impact

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen announced this week a delay in the enactment of proposed regulations governing the actions of “social welfare” 501(c)(4) organizations.  Faith & Freedom Coalition’s members generated over 61,461 comments of the record-breaking 150,000+ comments received by the IRS.

Null and VoidThe proposed regulations would prohibit the distribution of nonpartisan material, including voter guides or Congressional Scorecards, and candidate forums by 501(c)(4) organizations during “blackout” periods before primary and general elections.  Labor unions were exempted from the regulations.  An issue organization could not even mention the name of an elected official---federal, state, or local---in a communication to its members on a legislative issue during the “blackout” period, even when the communication simply urged a vote for or against pending legislation.

The regulations are not defeated, however.  The IRS will now schedule a public hearing and potentially rewrite the proposed language and again ask the public for comments.

Keep up to date with this fight on free speech and join us in letting the government know that you oppose these proposed regulations!  Click here and join our “Do Not Silence Us” campaign.
