To Him Who OVERCOMES!

In the Seven Letters To The Seven Churches
Christ Jesus said to all but two of them:

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To him who OVERCOMES,
I will give the right to eat from the Tree of LIFE,
Which is in the Paradise of God. (Revelation 2:7)

Only two of the seven churches were in right standing with Him.

He was speaking to Churches who were saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Yet, He never uses the term “saved.”
This is because being “saved” was not the issue.
Making a confession of faith in Christ Jesus
Is the first, critical step, in belonging to Him.
Being baptized in the Holy Spirit is also critical;
But these two critical steps do not by themselves
Determine our Eternal Destiny.

As critical as these first steps are in our belonging to Christ Jesus,
They do not by themselves determine our Eternal Destiny.
What then does determine our Eternal Destiny?
The answer is OBEDIENCE!
Obedience that includes maintaining our First Love;
Loving Christ Jesus with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
The Church at Ephesus was obedient in many things
But had lost their First Love.
In doing so they had disqualified themselves from belonging to Christ Jesus.
Christ Jesus exhorted them to repent of this loss
And return whole heartedly to Him.

We are “saved” out of this world by faith in Christ Jesus;
Forgiven by the blood He shed in our behalf.
We are Baptized in the Holy Spirit, immersed in the Spirit,
To give us the enabling Power of the Holy Spirit who comes to live within us;
Christ in us our hope of glory;
Who gives us the Power to OVERCOME the Evil One and the world he rules.
We are “saved” to Walk in the Light of Christ;
In the OVERCOMING Power of Christ!

This is what it means to Walk in the Light; The apostle John declares:

God is Light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet Walk in the darkness,
We LIE and do not live by the TRUTH.
But if we Walk in the Light as He is in the Light,
We have fellow ship with one another,
And the blood of Jesus His Son, purifies us from all sin. (1 John 1:5-7)

Whoever claims to live IN Him must walk as Jesus did. (1 John 2:6)

It is important to note that by Walking in the Light we are purified of all sin.
The implication is clear that if we do not Walk in the Light
We are not purified of our sin.
If we do not continue to Walk in the Light; If we Walk in darkness;
Our confession of faith in Christ Jesus is of no effect!
To OVERCOME we must Walk as Jesus did!

OVERCOMING is our goal, which leads to Eternal LIFE.
It is a NARROW path set out by Christ Jesus Himself; ABIDING IN Him!
If we have made our confession of faith in Christ Jesus;
If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord
And believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we are saved.
If we have been baptized in the Holy Spirit
We have received the Power of God's Holy Spirit
Who enables us to OVERCOME the Evil One and the world he rules.

God has given us EVERYTHING we need to OVERCOME.
ALL our provision is from God so that no one can boast.
Now, the rest is up to us, to choose to use what He has given us.
Five of the Seven Churches Christ Jesus sent letters to were DISOBEDIENT.
Only two were not.
What would Christ Jesus write to your Church?
What would He write to you? What is your testimony?

They OVERCAME him [the Evil One] by the blood of the Lamb
And the word of their testimony;
They did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
(Revelation 12:11)

OVERCOMING can cost you your life! Yet, there is no other alternative.
I pray that all who read this message
Are on the path to OVERCOMING the Evil One and the world he rules.

Today, the world is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)
America is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.
Save yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)
As God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!
Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
