America's Disgrace: Sin

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.
(Proverbs 14:34)

The Lord hid His face from Jerusalem as the Babylonians lay siege to it,
Because of their sin.
The people provoked the Lord by all the evil they had done;
Their kings and officials, their priests and prophets.
They turned their backs to God and not their faces,
Though God taught them again and again,
They would not respond to His discipline; to His Word; to His prophets.
They set up abominable idols throughout the land.
They sacrificed their sons and daughters to Molech; a detestable act.

Therefore, the Lord hid his face from Jerusalem because of all its wickedness.
He hid His face from Jerusalem as it was being destroyed
By a nation more wicked than itself.

America has turned its back on God who gave her birth.
It has pushed God and His Word out of its schools and institutions.
It has declared itself to be a secular nation;
Secular being synonymous to godless;
Secular being man in the mire of his fallen state.
Secular meaning captive to Satan and his wickedness.
America's sin is a disgrace to her people;
America's sin, her downfall.

The God of Creation says to America:
Call to Me and I will answer you
And tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. (Jeremiah 33:3)

Is there enough substance left in America to call?

Will an improved economy save America?
If there were to be an improved economy,
Would America then, be happy in her sin?
