“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
(Hebrews 13:8 NCV)
It is a comfort that Jesus never changes.
I remember the time when I was receiving my high school diploma. I was thinking about all the changes that were to take place afterwards, such as going to a new school.
Since I was in a high school group at church at the time, I knew I had to move onto a college group, but I had a difficult time being with older people.
After high school I went to a vocational-technical school in a small town.
It was a tough change because I was used to living in the big city, and I was far away from home.
I also changed careers.
I used to be involved in the television industry.
Minnesota is unique because many TV stations broadcast their news programs during the state fair.
Watching the camera people and the floor directors do their job caught my interest.
It was hard to leave the career I loved.
Another big change in my life was when I moved from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Marion, Illinois and then to the St. Louis area.
Change is a hard thing because you lose your friends and those relationships with people from church.
However, most people experience a lot of changes throughout their life.
The one comfort I have undergoing change is knowing that Jesus never changes.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
No matter how many changes we experience in life, Jesus does not change.
Whenever you get sad about a change that is going to take place, do not forget that Jesus does not change.
