17 Every Good and Perfect Gift

Is from Above,

Coming Down

From the Father of Heavenly Lights,

Who Does Not Change

Like the Shifting Shadows.

18 He Chose to Give Us Birth,

Through the Word of Truth,

That We Might Be

A Kind of Firstfruits

Of All He Created.

Is the Purveyor of All that is Good,

And Apart from Him

There is Nothing Good.

And the Greatest Gift from God

Is Himself,

Christ In Us our Hope of Glory;

Christ Living In and Through Us.

There is Nothing Greater than This.
