Elon Musk: ‘Consider Morality in the Absolute!’

CRAIG BANNISTER | APRIL 26, 2024

The belief that “weak makes right” is destroying Western Civilization – but, thinking “might makes right” isn’t any better – billionaire and visionary entrepreneur Elon Musk explained Friday.

In two posts on his X.com (formerly, Twitter) social media platform, Musk warned that Western Civilization has embraced the self-destructive premise that victimhood is inherently virtuous.

Axiomatically false, the popular premise that “weak makes right” demands the conclusion that strength is, by definition, evil, Musk wrote in his first post:

“The axiomatic error undermining much of Western Civilization is ‘weak makes right’.

“If someone accepts, explicitly or implicitly, that the oppressed are always the good guys, then the natural conclusion is that the strong are the bad guys.”

Previously, the world has made the opposite mistake – promoting and practicing the creed that “might makes right,” Musk followed up:

“Most of history had and still most of the world has ‘might makes right’ as the axiomatic error.“

Actions yield results and the righteousness of those actions and their results is determined by morality – not by the relative power of those taking those actions – Musk explains.

Thus, one should “obviously consider morality in the absolute!” when passing judgement, Musk urges:

“If any thought is given to it, you should obviously consider morality in the absolute! Deeds done determine good or bad, not whether one party is stronger or weaker than the other.”

Musk’s comments come as liberal Americans argue that the strong (police, military, Israel, etc.) are evil, simply because they are strong, making their deeds and beliefs inherently wrong.

Thus, violent rioters are praised, criminals are considered victims, and the use of military force to defend good and combat evil is vilified.
