Massive X Response to Exclusive Trump-Carlson Interview, Comments on Biden, Elections, Future of US

Former President Donald Trump bypassed the Republican debate on Wednesday night, opting instead for an in-depth interview with Tucker Carlson that quickly racked up over 100 million views on X.

In the interview, Trump fielded questions about his absence from the debate, the potential for a civil war, and even concerns about an assassination attempt. Posted to X just five minutes before the debate started, the event's views surpassed 180 million by Thursday morning, according to Newsweek. The current X viewership stats for the interview are over 254 million. Comparisons arose with Carlson's recent interview of GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, which drew 44 million views in a week.

Trump's explanation for skipping the debate focused on his substantial lead in polls. "I'm leading by [40] points," he stated, reasoning that while he enjoys answering questions, a crowded stage wouldn't be productive. "So, I've taken a pass."

On the topic of potential violence or civil strife in the U.S., Trump acknowledged the heightened passion and hatred but remained uncertain about such an outcome. "There's a level of passion that I've never seen," Trump said. "There's a level of hatred that I've never seen, and there's probably a bad combination."

Addressing pending legal cases, Trump dismissed them as nonsensical, drawing parallels to past election challenges by Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams. He expressed concern about political adversaries resorting to extreme measures, branding them as "savage animals" and "sick."

Trump scrutinized President Biden's leadership, expressing doubts about his re-election bid and asserting that Biden's family business dealings have compromised him. He emphasized his foreign policy achievements, including avoiding nuclear conflict with North Korea, while criticizing Biden's handling of the Ukraine-Russia conflict and alleged Chinese influence in Cuba.

However, Trump's central concern remains immigration, asserting the necessity of securing the border and repatriating criminals who entered the country.

"Number one is a border and taking hundreds of thousands of criminals that have been allowed into our country and getting them out and bringing them back to their country," the former president stated firmly.

On Thursday evening, Trump surrendered himself for arrest in Fulton County, Georgia, facing numerous felony charges linked to his alleged endeavors to overturn the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

Later Thursday evening, former President Trump made an explosive comeback to X, formerly recognized as Twitter. He shared his historic mug shot from Fulton County, Georgia, while also directing followers to a donation landing page.
